Trudi Meehan, a lecturer at the Centre for Positive Psychology and Health, said boredom can help people change their lives for the better.
Meehan stated that many people try hard to avoid feeling bored. To prevent empty moments, individuals often fill their time with social media, books and television programs, while keeping their daily schedules tightly packed with plans.
However, Meehan explained that boredom does not always need to be viewed as a negative experience. She noted that boredom can actually be beneficial for people, provided they effectively use its full potential.
