Airline passenger causes horror after cooking prawns and mashed potatoes in plane sink – before burning food with his hands

A plane passenger has sparked outrage by revealing how he cooked prawns and mashed potatoes in a plane’s sink – after taking two six-volt batteries on board to power his bizarre experiment.

The US-based content creator, who goes by the username Barfly, has taken TikTok by storm in recent weeks with shocking clips of his spontaneous food preparation.

He recently stunned viewers after he used two six-volt batteries to prepare food in the communal toilet aboard a Delta plane.

He then packed all the ingredients into a medical bag before returning to his seat and eating with his hands.

In the clip, which has been viewed more than 705,000 times, Barfly, who never revealed his real name, documented his journey on the way to the airport.

From his car he said, “Well, I have a terrible idea. That’s a terrible idea. I’m a little nervous.

“The stuff I packed sure looks like a bomb.”

The social media star then films himself through security before finally heading to his seat.

He takes a medical bag from the pocket in front of him and goes to the toilet on board with his shrimp, potato powder and batteries.

Barfly secures the connector in the sink before adding a few inches of water and setting up the battery wiring configuration.

The electric current causes the water to quickly boil when he throws a handful of shrimp into it.

He sprinkles herbs on top, then scoops out a bit of garlic paste with his fingers and tosses it into the mixture.

Once cooked, the unconventional chef removes the shrimp and places them on a stack of paper towels.

Barfly turns his attention to preparing the mashed potatoes, sprinkles the mixture into the existing water, adds more garlic paste and stirs vigorously with his hands.

Then, after the preparation is complete, the two ingredients are thrown into the sick bag before it is returned to its seat to enjoy its meal.

The content creator only uses his hands, but still declares the experiment successful.

In the caption, he explained: “With two six-volt batteries connected in series to a beverage warmer, you can quickly heat up boiling water.”

“Raw shrimp only takes a few minutes.”

“Adding instant puree to shrimp water adds extra flavor to the shrimp water.” Garlic butter makes everything better.”

Another added: “This is one of the craziest videos I’ve seen on this app.”

And a third said, “Bro, it’s absolutely not possible.”

The TSA website states: “Spares (uninstalled) of lithium ion and lithium metal batteries, including power banks and cell phone charging cases, may be carried in carry-on luggage only.”

“With airline approval, passengers may also carry up to two larger spare lithium-ion batteries or lithium metal batteries.”

Delta told DailyMail.com: “Delta crews are aware of the video and are continuing to investigate.”

This isn’t the first time Barfly has made headlines, having previously shared a series of gruesome bathroom cooking videos in which he attempts to cook baby back ribs with a hairdryer and sous vide steak in a toilet.
