This little fishing village is so small whole tour in a few hours. The ups and downs of the mountain will test your legs, but it’s a ride well worth it. Get lost aimlessly in its streets surrounded by white houses and colorful frames.
While walking in the town of Cudillero, you will come across many interesting and different houses, such as the Gothic-style Humilladero chapel. one of these houses cap stones shells and it has become a museum and one of the most original and picturesque points of interest in the entire city.

The climb begins when you enjoy the beautiful postcard with the town of Cudillero from its main square. Along its uphill streets, you can reach the following three viewpoints. roads marked on the ground with blue fish. These are Mirador de la Garita, Mirador de El Picu and Mirador de la Casa del Fuego.

Cudillero’s lighthouse

The walk to the tip of Roballera where the lighthouse is located is very nice. You cannot access the content, but one of those movie headlights in a magnificent natural enclave. Of course, sometimes access is closed due to the danger of landslides.

we are talking about traditional fishing port, full of colorful boats and fanned workers where time seems to have stood still. It’s a great plan to go to the pier and see how the waves break outside the town.

Visit the beaches near Cudillero

The beaches surrounding the town of Cudillero are an absolute fantasy for all lovers of the Cantabrian coast. Great beaches and hidden coves, with natural pool stones, sand and even mills (Playa La Vallina). Nearby are Playa del Silencio, Concha de Artedo, Oleiros, San Pedro de la Ribera and others.

What to eat and where to eat in Cudillero?

Doubt bothers: go to Cudillero to eat fresh fish and seafood. But also typical Asturian dishes like chorizo in cider, cachopo, cottage cheese or creamy vaqueiras. And of course cider! There are dozens of restaurants, all with outdoor terraces to enjoy the view and sea breeze. These are our favourites:
- Fisherman (Tolombreo De Arriba Street s/n): Seafood, grills, rice dishes, stews and casseroles where it’s really hard to choose. Somebody absolute from gastro experts Directly to the Palate.
- El Remo Restaurant (Calle Fuente de Abajo, 9): This cider house has a very famous star dish in Asturias, the curadillo made with sun-dried fish from the shark family.
- Casa Julio Bar (Plaza de la Marina, 7): in the middle of the main square you can enjoy tapas, fresh fish and seafood, as well as other Asturian dishes such as rabas de potera or cachopo de calf.
- Cabo Vidio Restaurant (Exit 438) of the A-8: fish first, second, summer and winter. From Directly to the Palate They recommend cod, ink squid and soft marinated tuna.
