Tom Holland has weighed in on the version of Peter Parker that appears in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, saying the video game character is far more muscular than he is.
Holland was reacting to the addition of a suit from the new film Spider-Man: Brand New Day to the game. He said the costumes his character wears in the Insomniac games look even better than they do in the films, precisely because the game’s Peter Parker is so much more built.
Holland said the character always looks great in the games because he is so much more muscular, and that every time he plays through a game he thinks he needs to get back to the gym.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened worldwide on July 31. The film picks up four years after the events of No Way Home, with Peter Parker continuing to protect New York while those close to him have forgotten he exists.
