The Mandalorian and Grogu, a new feature film starring Pedro Pascal as bounty hunter Din Djarin, has officially launched on Disney+ alongside extra content. The release brings the galactic adventures of the bounty hunter and his Force-sensitive companion to the streaming service following the movie's premiere in cinemas last May.
The film represents the first cinematic adventure for Din Djarin and Grogu after three seasons of the television series. To complement the movie's streaming debut, Disney+ is releasing a two-episode official behind-the-scenes podcast produced by Lucasfilm as well as an animated LEGO special covering the events of the series.
The Mandalorian first began its run on Disney+ with its premiere season in late 2019, restoring fan optimism in the Star Wars franchise following several releases that suffered poor receptions among long-time fans. The story of Din Djarin and the young character previously known as Baby Yoda expanded across three seasons and spun off connected series including The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka, which recently received news updates.

Disney+ is the flagship subscription streaming service operated by The Walt Disney Company, offering content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. The Star Wars franchise, created by filmmaker George Lucas with the release of the original 1977 film, has grown into one of the most successful entertainment properties in history.
