Fundación Teletón Perú has officially presented Teletón 2026, setting a national fundraising goal of 9,168,510 soles to support child rehabilitation programs.
The annual solidarity campaign enters its final stretch aiming to collect exactly one sol more than the total raised during the previous year's event.
Organizers announced that the raised funds will fully subsidize physical and motor rehabilitation, as well as specialized care for children with autism, ensuring that beneficiary families do not pay for these medical services.
Sergio León, chief executive officer of Fundación Teletón Perú, stated during a press conference that the initiative is reaching a decisive moment. He emphasized that every single sol donated assists a child in continuing their rehabilitation process and urged the entire country to unite behind the goal.
Broadcast schedule and campaign goals
The national broadcast of Teletón 2026 will begin on Friday, September 11 at 10:00 p.m. local time and will run through Saturday, September 12. The event will be transmitted across the country via América TV, TV Perú, América Multimedia, and various digital platforms.
For 2026, Fundación Teletón Perú projects delivering more than 180,000 care services to benefit over 1,000 children living in vulnerable situations, poverty, and extreme poverty across six key Peruvian cities.
The targeted care will reach beneficiaries in Lima, the capital of Peru, along with regional urban centers including Arequipa in the southern Andes, Cusco in the southeastern highlands, Chiclayo and Piura in the northern coastal plains, and Iquitos in the Amazon basin.
Fundación Teletón Perú is a non-profit charitable organization that mobilizes public and private resources to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation therapies to pediatric patients. The annual televised campaign relies heavily on major media partnerships, including commercial television network América TV and state-owned public broadcaster TV Perú, to reach nationwide audiences.
Celebrity involvement and business calls
The official launch press conference drew a large turnout of media representatives and was led by prominent Peruvian television personalities and actors, including Ismael La Rosa, Adolfo Aguilar, Cristian Rivero, Mónica Zevallos, and María Jesús Rodríguez, widely known as 'La Miski'.
In addition to public appeals, Fundación Teletón Perú issued a direct invitation to the business sector, encouraging companies to participate actively and mobilize their workforce, client bases, and local communities during the campaign.
The campaign launch was also marked by a ceremonial bell ringing at the Bolsa de Valores de Lima, the country's principal stock exchange, where representatives renewed their call for institutions, businesses, and citizens to join the national effort on September 11 and 12.
