Hanson frontman Taylor Hanson was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars season 35 on week three following a three-way tie at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Hanson and his professional dance partner Britt Stewart became the fourth couple sent home this season, following celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis's elimination last week.

The 43-year-old singer remained upbeat after the result was announced on an evening dedicated to 1980s yacht rock classics.
"This has been everything. This has been incredible," Hanson said as he tried to stay positive, despite the obvious disappointment on Stewart's face.

Hanson and Stewart performed a foxtrot set to "What a Fool Believes" by The Doobie Brothers. Hanson was excited about the song choice because he had previously performed it with his brothers in front of The Doobie Brothers when the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
However, the singer appeared nervous heading into the routine after receiving criticism the previous week. In rehearsals, he struggled to move fluidly while attempting to improve his technique.

"I want to show the judges that I was paying attention to the notes," Hanson said before taking to the dance floor.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba appreciated how "lyrical" and "poetic" Hanson could be when dancing, though she expressed disappointment and suggested he strengthen his core to become more resilient.

Derek Hough called the performance Hanson's best dance of the season and noted that he had been "taking notes." In contrast, Bruno Tonioli offered more criticism, urging Hanson not to interrupt the musical phrases.
"You're a musician; you understand what I'm talking about," Tonioli added.

Hanson and Stewart earned straight sixes for a total score of 18, marking their highest score of the season. However, the score was not enough to save them from elimination after viewer votes were counted.
Prior to their exit, Hanson and Stewart were locked in a three-way tie for the bottom spot alongside Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson, as well as Jackson Olson and Emma Slater.

Leaderboard Leaders and Rehearsal Drama
Olympic figure skater Amber Glenn and her partner Pasha Pashkov opened the night with a foxtrot set to Toto's "Hold the Line."
The pair delivered a standout performance, earning straight eights from the panel for a night-high total of 24 points. Co-host Julianna Hough informed Glenn that they had received the first eights of the season, prompting Glenn to say she felt incredible.

The judges praised the performance enthusiastically. Hough stood up to cheer, calling out, "And the ice queen does it again!" Tonioli declared the pair "top of the class," while Inaba described the dance as "beautiful," "poetic" and "mesmerizing."
The strong score came despite a rehearsal mishap shown in behind-the-scenes footage, where Glenn accidentally struck Pashkov in the face with her elbow.

Pashkov bent over and grabbed tissues as drops of blood dripped from his nose. He admitted to feeling light-headed after the hit, while Glenn teared up during rehearsals while recounting the collision.
Glenn and Pashkov tied for the top spot with Glee and Grey's Anatomy actor Harry Shum Jr. and his professional partner Jenna Johnson.

Shum and Johnson performed a high-energy jive set to Hall & Oates's "You Make My Dreams Come True," also earning straight eights for a total score of 24.
Tonioli hailed the routine as theatrical in the best possible way, telling Shum, "You're heading right up to Broadway with that!" Inaba cheered and noted that the pair were "so in sync" and "so powerful." Hough praised Johnson's versatility and complimented Shum's athleticism and theme-appropriate mustache.

Mid-Table Performances and Rehearsal Injuries
Actress Julia Stiles and her partner Ezra Sosa performed a salsa to Hall & Oates's "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)." In rehearsals leading up to the show, Stiles injured her ribs following a lift.
During judge feedback, Tonioli joked, "You awakened the Spice Girl within!" He added that they "didn't make any errors" and "looked like you were having fun."

Inaba remarked that Stiles had finally given herself "permission to let go." Hough offered positive feedback while providing advice on refining her turns. Hough awarded a seven, while Inaba and Tonioli each gave sixes, giving the couple a total score of 19.
Former The Cosby Show star Tatyana Ali and partner Jan Ravnik tackled a quickstep set to Hall & Oates's "Maneater." The routine earned straight sevens for a 21-point total, prompting a scream of joy from Ali.

Hough told her, "Tatyana, hold my gaze. That was your best dance." Inaba noted a minor misstep but praised her footwork, while Tonioli joked, "When you're bad, you're so good," praising her aggressive tone.
Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas scored 22 points with a quickstep to George Benson's "Turn Your Love Around." Hough called Higgins's topline "exquisite," while Tonioli said she brought classic Hollywood glamour. Hough and Inaba gave sevens, while Tonioli scored the dance an eight.

Last week's leader, Jenna Dewan, performed a samba to Toto's "Africa" alongside partner Val Chmerkovskiy. Despite complimentary remarks from the panel, Inaba advised Dewan to loosen up, calling her performance tense and over the top. The couple received straight sevens for a total of 21.
Paralympian Ezra French and partner Daniella Karagach closed the night with a foxtrot set to "Just the Two of Us" by Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers. All three judges praised the routine, with Hough highlighting French's control during a slower dance and Tonioli praising his role as a leading man. They received straight sevens for 21 points.

Lower Scores and Bottom Leaderboard Battles
Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold performed a foxtrot to Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere," earning a score of 20. Hough gave a six and encouraged Wood to become a "leading man" next week, while Inaba and Tonioli both awarded sevens, with Inaba finding Wood's support of his partner endearing.
Summer House television personality Ciara Miller and partner Brandon Armstrong danced a cha-cha to Luther Vandross's "Never Too Much." Tonioli exclaimed "Hot, hot, hot" but advised Miller to believe in herself and use her legs. Inaba praised her enthusiasm while noting her polish suffered, and Hough urged her to watch her arms. The pair earned three sixes for an 18-point total.
Jackson Olson and Emma Slater delivered a raw pasodoble to "Easy Love" by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins. Inaba commented that Olson danced above the music, while Tonioli felt the routine lacked nuance despite strong intensity. They received straight sixes for a total of 18 points, placing them in the bottom-three tie.
Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess performed a jive to "Still the One" by Orleans. Inaba urged Cameron to stay in tune with Burgess, while Tonioli noted timing issues despite overall improvement. Inaba scored a five, while Hough and Tonioli gave sixes for a 17-point total.
Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson took the bottom score of the night with a foxtrot set to Rupert Holmes's "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)." In rehearsals, Carson placed a shoulder brace on Rodriguez to help him keep his arms elevated and remain in frame.
Rodriguez stripped down to give the audience a laugh while awaiting his scores. The judges awarded straight fives for a total of 15, leaving them tied at the bottom with Hanson and Olson before Hanson's elimination.
Dancing with the Stars airs live on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays and is available to stream the following day on Hulu.
