The first Ukrainian trailer for the biographical drama I Play Rocky has been released, starring Anthony Ippolito as a young Sylvester Stallone.
The film focuses on the start of production for the original 1967 sports movie Rocky. It follows Stallone during his preparation for the role when he was still a little known actor. Stallone also wrote the screenplay and staged the fight choreography, putting everything on the line for the project.
American actor Ippolito, who is best known for his roles in the film Purple Hearts and the television series Grand Army, takes on the lead role of Stallone. The supporting cast features Matt Dillon as Stallone's father and AnnaSophia Robb as his wife Sasha Czack. Toby Kebbell portrays producer Robert Chartoff, while Stephan James plays actor Carl Weathers, the performer who portrayed Apollo Creed in Rocky.

The biographical drama is directed by Peter Farrelly, the Oscar winning filmmaker behind Green Book as well as comedy hits including Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary, Me, Myself and Irene, and The Heartbreak Kid.
Stallone became one of Hollywood's biggest stars after writing and starring in the original Rocky film. The long running movie franchise follows the life and career of fictional Philadelphia underdog boxer Rocky Balboa. Producer Chartoff helped finance the original production, while Weathers starred alongside Stallone as his chief ring rival Creed.
Dillon has appeared in notable films such as Drugstore Cowboy, Wild Things, and The House That Jack Built. Robb previously starred in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the television series The Carrie Diaries. Kebbell appeared in Kong: Skull Island and the series Servant, while James has featured in 21 Bridges and War Machine.
According to the press service for film distributor Green Light Films, I Play Rocky is scheduled to open in Ukrainian cinemas on November 19, 2026.
