The Potable Water and Sewerage Service of Lima, known as Sedapal, has announced scheduled temporary water service interruptions across four districts in Lima, Peru.
The cuts affect residential sectors in Ate, Comas, Lurigancho and Pachacamac on Saturday, August 15, Monday, August 17, and Tuesday, August 18.
Sedapal stated that the service suspensions are necessary to perform maintenance work, clean water reservoirs, connect pipe systems, and execute other technical operations intended to maintain and improve supply quality for residents.
Sedapal is Peru's state-owned municipal utility responsible for managing drinking water distribution and sanitation infrastructure across the Lima metropolitan area. District authorities and emergency services in Peru routinely coordinate during major maintenance outages to ensure essential facilities remain supplied.
Saturday water disruptions in Ate, Comas and Lurigancho
On Saturday, August 15, water supply suspensions begin in Ate from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Affected locations in Ate include Asentamiento Humano 24 de Setiembre, Asentamiento Humano Abraham Valdelomar, Asentamiento Humano 15 de Marzo, Asentamiento Humano Cruz de Mayo, Asentamiento Humano Los Pinos, Asentamiento Humano Grupo M de Horacio Zevallos, Asentamiento Humano Agrupacion de Familia Juventud 30 de Mayo, P.S. 1-2, P.S. 4-7, and streets 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
In Comas, the shutdown on Saturday, August 15 runs from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The affected areas are Asentamiento Humano Villa Collique, Asentamiento Humano Quinta Zona de Collique Julio, and Asentamiento Humano Collique.
In Lurigancho, water service will be interrupted on Saturday, August 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. The affected sectors comprise Asentamiento Humano Paraiso de Cajamarquilla, Asentamiento Humano Santa Cruz de Cajamarquilla, Agrupacion Señor de Huanca, Asociacion de Posesionarios del Cerro San Martin de Porres, Asociacion Union Santa Cruz de Cajamarquilla, and Urbanizacion La Planicie de Cajamarquilla.
Monday service cuts in Ate, Pachacamac, Comas and Lurigancho
On Monday, August 17, supply interruptions resume across four districts with varying schedules.
In Ate, service will be cut from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The affected neighborhoods under Esquema Zevallos include Asentamiento Humano 21 de Diciembre, Asentamiento Humano 13 de Junio, Asentamiento Humano Las Lomas, Asentamiento Humano Nuevo Progreso, Asentamiento Humano Santa Rosa, and Asentamiento Humano Señor de los Milagros, alongside Horacio Zevallos Groups G, H, I and K.
In Pachacamac, water service will also be suspended from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The shutdown impacts stages 1 through 7 of the Habilitacion Urbana Villa Verde residential development.
In Comas, the Monday cut runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The affected sectors include Asentamiento Humano Los Angeles 4th Sector, Asentamiento Humano Los Angeles, Asentamiento Humano Jesus de Nazaret Zonal 2, Asentamiento Humano Nuevo Carmen Alto Numero Dos, Asentamiento Humano Graciela Reategui de Saldaña, Asentamiento Humano Miguel Angel Saldaña, Asentamiento Humano Santiago Apostol, and Asentamiento Humano Vista Alegre del Carmen.
