Samahara Lobatón has spoken out about the status of her friendship with Shirley Arica, saying the two have not yet reconciled after Arica grew angry over not being told about a dinner Lobatón attended with Pablo Heredia and his ex Ale Fuller.
In an interview with Magaly Medina aired on Thursday, July 30, Lobatón said she had not had the chance to resolve things with Arica but still cares deeply for her. She said Arica holds a place in her heart and that Arica knows she loves her very much.
Clashing Characters
Lobatón acknowledged that both she and Arica have strong, defined personalities, and said she felt a falling-out between them was probably inevitable. She described Arica as having a complicated character, adding that she herself does too.
She said she understands why Arica views the situation as a betrayal, even though she does not see it that way herself. Lobatón stressed that she was dining with a friend, not a former partner of Arica’s, and argued that Heredia deserves the same discretion she would show Arica.
She also clarified that Arica’s frustration was not about the dinner itself but about not being informed. In her defense, Lobatón said she rarely answers her phone because she is focused on caring for her three children and her work.
Lobatón said she accepts some responsibility and acknowledged that if Arica feels the situation was a betrayal, she can understand that perspective and empathize with her feelings.
