A 19-year-old Russian man was hospitalized in severe condition on the Thai resort island of Phuket following a family quarrel, according to local news reports.
The Phuket News Telegram channel reported that emergency responders performed resuscitation measures at the scene before transporting the man to Vachira Phuket Hospital. The victim's wife alerted police and rescue workers.
The woman told law enforcement officers that a conflict arose between the couple around 4 a.m. local time, after which her husband repeatedly attempted to harm himself. She said he was in critical condition, prompting her to call people nearby for help.
The police report contained no information regarding the man's current condition.
Missing Russian DJ in Pattaya
In a separate case in Thailand, a 37-year-old Russian disc jockey who performed under the stage name DJ FYRPIN went missing. He had lived in the resort city of Pattaya for the past four years.
