Greek television presenter Roula Koromila has publicly defended singer Giannis Parios after negative online comments targeted his vocal performance at a recent concert in Cyprus.
Koromila released a statement on her official Instagram account on Wednesday, September 2, responding to internet criticism of the performance and declaring her support for the veteran musician's career.
Addressing the online reaction, Koromila stated that regardless of how many toxic keyboards are mobilized against him, Parios's monumental career and voice are permanently etched in history and in the souls of his listeners, areas where critics have no access. She added that disrespect and pettiness would eventually vanish into nonexistence, while his artistic legend would remain untouched.
The presenter also appealed directly to her social media followers not to share or reproduce negative online commentary. She urged the public to isolate what she described as a toxic internet minority trying to dismantle established values with cheap remarks out of envy, calling them a group of devaluers who act out of resentment toward achievements they cannot reach.
Koromila concluded her online message by stating that certain individuals are born to make history, while others exist merely to watch it unfold with bitterness and malice.
