Australian television presenter and wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin joined American singer Alex Warren on stage during a concert at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Queensland.
The 22-year-old conservationist was watching the performance from the front row when Warren, a 25-year-old YouTuber and musician, invited him to join him on stage. Irwin accepted the invitation and danced energetically in front of the crowd as audience members cheered.
During the performance of Warren's song Fever Dream, the singer instructed Irwin to hit a large red button on stage. Pressing the button triggered a cannon that launched confetti soaring into the air across the arena venue.
Footage of the surprise stage appearance quickly circulated online after being published on TikTok by the account Amityontour. The video attracted numerous supportive comments from fans of both personalities.
Social media users praised the interaction in the comment section below the video clip. Irwin, the son of late Australian zookeeper Steve Irwin, works as a wildlife conservationist at Australia Zoo in Beerwah and presents Australian television programs. Warren gained initial popularity as a creator on YouTube and TikTok before launching his pop music career and embarking on his current concert tour.
The venue for the concert, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, is a prominent indoor arena located in the Brisbane suburb of Boondall. The facility regularly hosts touring international recording artists, sports competitions, and large entertainment events.
The enthusiastic reception for Irwin's appearance in Brisbane stood in contrast to his hosting role at the Logie Awards, Australia's national television awards ceremony. Irwin, who became the youngest person ever to host the event, faced criticism for several segments during the broadcast.
Criticism over Logie Awards hosting debut
During the television broadcast, Irwin crashed a DJ set performed by the Australian electronic music duo Peking Duk, which features producer Adam Hyde, the partner of media personality Abbie Chatfield. Irwin walked onto the stage and began breakdancing during the performance, leading to negative feedback from viewers online.
Viewers criticized the dance routine on the social media platform X, with several describing the performance as cringe and asking him not to repeat it. One user posted, "Jesus, get off stage, Robert," while another commenter wrote, "OMG Robert please stop, please just stop."

Irwin had earlier delivered an opening monologue following a dance routine featuring backing vocals by Australian singer Casey Donovan. Cameras panned across the auditorium during the monologue, showing several celebrity guests shifting awkwardly in their seats.
Donovan rose to prominence in 2004 after winning the second season of Australian Idol at age 16, later establishing a career as a stage performer and recording artist.
Despite the awkward reception to the monologue, Irwin won the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter later in the evening. During his presentation, he delivered a joke about former Today show host Karl Stefanovic, referencing Stefanovic's shift toward far-right political views. The segment continued beyond its planned conclusion as co-host Julia Morris repeatedly stated that she was unable to read the teleprompter.
The Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, named after the legendary Australian entertainer following his death in 2021, is one of the highest individual honours presented at the ceremony. Stefanovic co-hosted Nine Network's morning program Today for more than a decade, while Morris is a veteran Australian comedian who co-hosts television programs alongside Irwin.
Later in the ceremony, Irwin stripped off his formal suit to reveal his signature khaki zookeeper uniform underneath. He brought out a live lizard and two snakes onto the stage, displaying the reptiles to celebrity audience members, including Dr Chris Brown, Sam Pang, Melanie Bracewell, and Amanda Keller.
The Logie Awards, officially known as the TV Week Logie Awards, have been held annually since 1959 to celebrate achievements in Australian broadcasting. Irwin continues to balance his media appearances with conservation work at Australia Zoo.
