Action-comedy miniseries Ride or Die, starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer, has earned high ratings across major review platforms after streaming on Amazon Prime Video for just one month.
Created by Tessa Coates, the eight-part television series follows two best friends who are forced to flee across Europe when one of them is revealed to be an international assassin.

Hannah Waddingham, known for her roles in Ted Lasso and Game of Thrones, stars as elite assassin Judith Burton. Octavia Spencer, whose screen credits include The Shape of Water, Snowpiercer, Coach Carter, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, and Mom, plays Deborah "Debbie" Claybourne, a woman married to a British Member of Parliament.
Jamie Parker plays Debbie's husband David, a sitting Member of Parliament. Ed Skrein appears as Billy Donovan, a key operative within an organized crime syndicate.
Savannah Steyn portrays Queenie, Judith's technical specialist and weapons expert, while Calam Lynch plays Judith's personal trainer, Sam.
Sylvia Hoeks stars as Ana, a fellow assassin and former friend of Judith. Bill Nighy takes on the role of the Director, Judith's organizational boss, and Jacky Ido plays Jacques, an agent working for Interpol.
Critical Reaction and Viewer Scores
Since its debut, Ride or Die has received widespread praise from television critics and streaming audiences alike. On review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, the series holds a 96 percent approval score from professional critics and an 84 percent positive score from general viewers.
On Metacritic, the show earned 72 percent positive feedback from critics alongside a 6.5 out of 10 user score. The series also secured an average score of 6.1 out of 10 on FilmAffinity and 7.6 out of 10 on IMDb.
Prime Video Comedy Catalog
The release adds to Amazon Prime Video's expanding lineup of comedy and thriller content. Other comedy series available on the platform include Young Sheldon, Fleabag, Elle, Su majestad, Con el culo al aire, Gym Tony, and La que se avecina.
The streaming service also recently officially renewed its coming-of-age hit series Sterling Point for a second season.
