Remains discovered inside a freezer at a home in Alaska have been identified as those of Ross Pasquan, a man who would have turned 74 in June, according to People magazine.
The freezer was found on July 19. Police determined the remains belonged to Pasquan, though no one had reported him missing. Accounts from people who knew him varied widely, with some telling police they had last seen him four years ago and others saying it had been ten years.
Pasquan was known to have struggled with alcohol and drug dependency. Forensic examiners found no gunshot or stab wounds on his body. Investigators believe his death was concealed for financial gain. The case remains open.
