Rather than traveling to distant destinations in Asia or completing longer trips across the United States, the Spanish team has chosen to prepare entirely within Europe. The team has scheduled a stopover in A Coruña, where they will play three of their four pre-season matches.

The second match of the pre-season schedule takes place one week later on Saturday, August 8 at 19:00 hours. Real Madrid will face Hungarian club Ferencváros at the Groupama Arena in Budapest. It is not yet confirmed whether Real Madrid Televisión will broadcast the match.
Four days later, the squad will travel to Galicia to compete against Real Club Deportivo de A Coruña in the Teresa Herrera Trophy. That fixture will take place at the Abanca Riazor stadium at 21:00 hours.
Ferencváros are based in Budapest and are Hungary's most decorated club. Deportivo La Coruña are a historic Spanish side based in A Coruña, and the Teresa Herrera Trophy is a long-running summer tournament held in Galicia.
Final friendly in Germany
Real Madrid will complete their pre-season preparations in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, against Schalke 04 at 17:00 hours. The friendly at the Veltins-Arena will mark the 25th anniversary of the German stadium. A broadcast partner for the match has not been confirmed.
Following their final friendly match in Germany, Real Madrid will begin their official LaLiga season away against RCD Espanyol.
