Chinese audio brand QCY has discounted its flagship H3S over-ear wireless headphones to 47.39 euros down from 56.99 euros on AliExpress. The model leads QCY's three-tier H3 series with adaptive noise cancellation capable of reducing ambient sound by up to 56 decibels.
The H3S sits at the top of QCY's budget headphone range above the entry-level H3 and mid-range H3 Pro models. While all three headsets share a nearly identical exterior design, internal component upgrades separate the H3S from its lower-tier siblings. It is aimed at users upgrading from standard over-ear headphones who seek active noise cancellation without paying premium brand prices.
According to manufacturer specifications provided by QCY, the H3S delivers up to 56 decibels of adaptive noise reduction, compared to 50 decibels on the H3 Pro and 43 decibels on the basic H3. The system relies on seven built-in microphones, with six specifically dedicated to processing noise cancellation. In practical daily use, the technology dampens background sounds such as office chatter and train hums, though it does not eliminate ambient noise entirely.

Active noise cancellation technology uses external microphones to sample ambient sound frequencies and generate inverse acoustic signals that mute constant low-frequency background noise. While flagship headphones from established audio manufacturers often carry high price tags, budget manufacturers employ adaptive digital algorithms to bring noise suppression features to lower price categories.
Acoustic architecture and LDAC support
Beyond noise reduction, the primary technical distinction of the H3S is its dual-driver acoustic architecture inside each earcup. Every earbud features a 40-millimeter dynamic driver to handle low-end bass frequencies alongside a separate 13-millimeter driver dedicated to high-frequency treble output. This division of labor prevents heavy bass tones from overwhelming subtle audio details.
Sound quality is further enhanced by support for Sony's high-resolution LDAC audio codec, which enables higher bit-rate streaming from compatible Android smartphones. Listeners using high-fidelity streaming services such as Tidal or Amazon Music receive enhanced detail across music tracks. However, Apple iPhone users will not benefit from LDAC resolution because iOS devices do not support the codec.

User feedback highlights the audio performance and noise control of the unit. One reviewer reported that the headphones produce impressive sound with powerful bass when paired with LDAC on Tidal, adding that the noise cancellation effectively muffles background speech even if it does not achieve complete silence.
Battery life and daily hardware features
Battery endurance on the H3S varies depending on whether noise reduction features remain active during playback. QCY rates the device for up to 102 hours of continuous playback with active noise cancellation turned off. With noise cancellation continuously engaged, battery performance drops to approximately 58 hours of use, allowing several weeks of listening between charges.
Wireless connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 6.0 technology, providing stable communication with paired source devices. The headphones include dual-device multipoint pairing, allowing users to remain connected to a laptop computer and a mobile phone simultaneously. This connection structure enables seamless switching when an incoming call arrives during work hours without requiring manual menu navigation.
The headset weighs 240 grams and features a collapsible, foldable structure for easier storage during transport. User reports indicate that the soft ear cushions remain comfortable during extended listening sessions, even for individuals who wear eyeglasses. Additional hardware features include a transparency mode to pass external environmental audio into the ears without removing the headset, USB-C wired charging with an included cable, and direct shipment from China via AliExpress.
