Ukrainian actress Olga Sumska spent her 60th birthday travelling on a train from Dnipro to Kyiv alongside her husband Vitalii Borysiuk.
The screen star marked her milestone by posting a video on Instagram recorded inside their train carriage. Writing in the video caption, Sumska said she was celebrating her birthday on the Dnipro to Kyiv train with Borysiuk and described the experience as romantic. In the clip, Borysiuk declared his love for Sumska and wished that they would live together for another five 30-year periods.
Sumska later shared a second video, which was light-hearted and showed her initially trying to run away from the number 60 before accepting the milestone and blowing out candles on a celebratory cake.
Messages of Thanks and Star Tributes
Accompanying the humorous clip, Sumska wrote a message addressed to her family, loved ones, and Ukrainian defenders. She thanked God for the day and her parents for giving her life. Sumska also expressed gratitude to Borysiuk, her children, her colleagues, and all the good people nearby who radiate warmth of soul. She added that she sent thanks and hugs to all the male and female defenders protecting the country, saying she was honoured to know many of them personally.
The posts prompted widespread congratulations from across the Ukrainian entertainment industry in the comment section. Actresses Natalka Denysenko, Darya Tregubova, and Kateryna Tyshkevych left birthday messages, alongside television presenters Liliya Rebryk, Marichka Padalko, and Solomiya Vitvitska. Singers Mika Newton, Vitaliy Kozlovskyi, and Vlad Darwin were also among the many stars offering their best wishes.
Sumska is a prominent Ukrainian stage and screen actress, while Borysiuk is a fellow actor. The anniversary celebration came shortly after news agency UNIAN reported that Sumska found herself in the epicentre of explosions in Kyiv just two days before her 60th birthday.
