Ukrainian actress Olena Svitlytska has revealed she was not invited to the wedding of her godmother Natalka Denysenko and male model Yurii Yaroshenko.
Speaking during an appearance on the morning television show Morning in the Big City, Svitlytska explained that an invitation was impossible because she and Denysenko have blocked each other on social media platforms. The two prominent Ukrainian performers have not communicated for some time following a personal rift, though neither star has publicly disclosed the reason for their disagreement.
In Ukrainian culture, a kuma is a child's godmother or spiritual relative, representing a close social and family bond. Despite their ongoing conflict, Svitlytska, who is known for her role in the film Infinite Romance, said she still viewed photos and videos of the wedding celebration online.
Svitlytska noted that even though they are blocked from viewing each other's accounts directly, seeing images of the ceremony was very pleasant. She explained that watching the happy tears of both the bride and groom was moving because she had seen the relationship develop from its earliest beginnings.
While Svitlytska has not congratulated Denysenko in person on her marriage, she chose to offer her best wishes publicly on camera during the broadcast. She stated that she wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate her kuma on the wedding and wish her a happy future.
Absence of Taras Tsymbalyuk

The wedding celebration was also notable for the absence of actor Taras Tsymbalyuk, who has been linked romantically with Svitlytska in local media reports. Asked whether Tsymbalyuk's absence was connected to the feud between the two actresses, Svitlytska said that journalists would need to ask the actor directly.
Prior to their wedding day, Denysenko and Yaroshenko marked their relationship by getting matching tattoos together, later revealing the completed designs to their social media followers.
