Skrypka said the issue involves not only cultural heritage but also habits that shaped the public concept of taste. He added that these traits continue to affect modern Ukrainian society.

Cultural Heritage and Taste

The musician stated that centuries of Moscow colonization left the nation with an acquired flaw rather than reflecting its true nature. He argued that Ukrainian creative, spiritual, folklore, literary, and song heritage possesses great taste, noting that Ukrainian folk songs have incredible taste.

According to Skrypka, modern society fails to reach the level of that heritage because of a lack of taste. He said Ukrainians must eliminate uncouthness, consume high quality cultural products, and strive for quality to honor their ancestors and build a society their descendants will take pride in.

Skrypka previously stated that he supports a military coup in Ukraine.
