Spanish television presenter Nuria Roca marked the 20th birthday of her middle son, Pau, on Friday, August 28, with an emotional social media message reflecting on how quickly children grow up.
Roca posted a photograph from her private family album showing herself tying Pau's shoes when he was a small child, pointing out that parents rarely realize when they are completing everyday tasks for their children for the very last time.
In her public dedication to her son, the presenter wrote that a day suddenly comes when it is the last time a parent ties their child's shoes. She expressed how fast he had grown, congratulated him on his milestone birthday, and described him as her life.
The host of the weekend magazine show La Roca added that as a mother she remembers the exact first day she held her son in her arms, but cannot recall when the last time was. Her husband, writer and broadcaster Juan del Val, reacted to the post by leaving a like, showing that he shared her sentimental reflection.

The milestone comes just days after Roca shared another major family transition, having recently said goodbye to her 16-year-old daughter, Olivia.
Olivia packed her bags to move to the United States for an academic year to build her own future. She is following in the footsteps of her older brothers, who also completed a year of study in the US, an experience Roca previously described as unforgettable for the whole family.
Following Olivia's departure, Roca asked her social media followers what she was supposed to do next, admitting that she felt a vast empty space in the family home as her children gradually leave the nest.

Roca is one of Spain's most prominent media personalities, best known for hosting the Sunday entertainment program La Roca on Spanish television channel laSexta. She and del Val have been married for more than two decades and frequently work together on broadcasting projects.
