The storyline follows Louise Andersen, played by Natalie Madueño, who lives a quiet life on an island in Norway with her husband, Joachim. Her peaceful existence is disrupted when an unknown female stranger appears and insists that she is not Louise, but Helene Söderberg, a millionaire who vanished from Denmark three years earlier.
Upon coming into contact with the missing woman's past, Louise discovers that Helene is married and has a young son. Seeking answers about her history, she leaves her life in Norway and travels to Denmark to uncover what happened on the night of the disappearance. As her investigation deepens, her life is turned upside down in pursuit of a mysterious past.
