Movistar, DAZN and Orange share European football rights

Spanish football fans will require subscriptions across Movistar, DAZN and Orange to watch European tournaments and top domestic leagues in 2026-27.

Movistar, DAZN and Orange share European football rights

Spanish broadcasting operators Movistar, DAZN and Orange have divided European football television rights for the 2026-27 season across separate subscription packages.

Telefónica-owned Movistar holds exclusive main rights to men's UEFA competitions, while streaming platform DAZN controls primary coverage for major foreign leagues. Orange offers combined packages through wholesale distribution agreements with both providers.

The layout forces sports fans in Spain to navigate multiple subscription services or select comprehensive convergent plans depending on which tournaments they follow.

Qué plataforma necesitas para ver Champions, Europa League, Conference y las grandes ligas
Football broadcast rights in Spain for the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and major European leagues are divided across multiple platforms.

UEFA Champions League and European tournament options

Telefónica provides complete coverage of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League from early qualifying rounds through to the finals. The matches broadcast across dedicated Liga de Campeones por M+ channels on Movistar Plus+.

Subscribers must pay 24 euros a month for the specific UEFA football package, which requires an existing Movistar Plus+ subscription within a miMovistar plan. Orange TV also carries the Movistar Liga de Campeones channels within its sports tiers, granting its customers full access to all three UEFA competitions.

Viewers seeking an independent internet option can subscribe to Movistar Plus+ as a standalone streaming service for 9.99 euros per month. This standalone plan includes one Champions League match, one Europa League match and one Premier League match per matchday, along with selected international fixtures, but does not allow full tournament tracking.

Foreign league coverage and DAZN package pricing

International league coverage centres primarily on DAZN. The platform carries full coverage of the English Premier League, German Bundesliga and Italian Serie A within its Plan Fútbol tier. DAZN also broadcasts LaLiga Hypermotion and five LaLiga EA Sports matches per matchday across 35 of the 38 domestic rounds.

French football has also joined the provider. The Ligue de Football Professionnel announced an agreement in May granting DAZN exclusive Spanish broadcast rights for all Ligue 1 matches, with a minimum of two matches per matchday featuring Spanish commentary.

DAZN offers its Plan Fútbol at three price points: 19.99 euros per month with an annual commitment, 29.99 euros per month under a flexible monthly plan, or a single upfront annual payment of 219.99 euros.

Comprehensive bundles and operator alternatives

Broadcasters also provide higher-tier bundles for supporters wanting complete coverage. Movistar sells a Fútbol Total television package for 50 euros per month, on top of basic miMovistar service fees, combining full Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, LaLiga and all three UEFA tournaments.

Orange mirrors this comprehensive access by integrating both DAZN and Movistar feeds into its top-level tariffs, giving subscribers access to the major European leagues alongside the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Vodafone customers can add DAZN Fútbol to their existing mobile or broadband subscriptions to view foreign domestic leagues. However, Vodafone does not offer full coverage of the three UEFA competitions, leaving Movistar and Orange as the sole choices for complete European tournament broadcasting.
