Emergency Response and Flight Diversions

Firefighters arrived at the scene immediately to inspect the business jet for structural damage or potential fuel leaks. Operations at Linate Airport were temporarily suspended during the emergency response, forcing two incoming aircraft to divert to alternate airfields.

Previous Ground Service Collisions

The incident in Italy follows a similar ground service collision in Africa last month. On July 14, a baggage conveyor driver struck an aircraft at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, Nigeria, in an event captured on video.
