Pablo Villanueva, the Peruvian comedian known as Melcochita, is now in a relationship with Heydi Amado, a 22-year-old nurse who recently shared details about how their romance began. The comedian had previously faced disputes with Monserrat Seminario, the mother of his children, but is now said to be going through a calmer period in his life.
Amado said their romance started while she was caring for him, and that their bond has grown stronger over the following months despite criticism from Villanueva's daughters and some followers. She and the comedian have chosen to ignore the comments and continue the relationship.
How the relationship began
Speaking on the first episode of Milena Zarate's podcast, Amado discussed her relationship with Melcochita and how she handles the wide age gap between them.
Amado revealed she had never had a boyfriend before, something Villanueva was well aware of. She said he told her he could teach her how a man should treat her, in case she did not want to be with him, adding that he knew she had never had a partner before.
Melcochita speaks about the romance
In an interview with Magaly TV La Firme, Melcochita said he was initially afraid of being rejected because of the age difference between them. He said the trust Amado gave him led him to make the relationship public, and the two have since moved in together at his new apartment in Chorrillos, disregarding the criticism.
Villanueva said he told her, with fear, that he was in love with her and wanted her to be his partner, and that although he thought she would reject him, she accepted him right away.
Amado on the age gap
Amado also spoke about the relationship, saying she is grateful for the attention and trust Villanueva gives her. She described him as a thoughtful person and said there is a lot of communication between them.
She acknowledged the age difference cannot be hidden but said it is respected. Amado said she loves how detail-oriented he is, that when she used to visit his house she would look after and care for him, and that she found in him a special person who appeared at an important moment in her life.
