The 52-year-old singer and DJ revealed the new body art as she marked her fifth consecutive season performing at the famous nightclub on the Spanish island.

Before joining world renowned American DJ Roger Sanchez on the decks as a special guest at Flower Power, Mel C paid a personal tribute to the venue with her new inking. She showed off the cherry design on her arm while posing with the 59-year-old musician.

Mel C wore a black lace Nike T-shirt as she displayed her new artwork alongside Sanchez, who wore a cut-out grey sweater vest for the photograph.

The cherry logo has been one of Ibiza's most recognisable symbols for almost 50 years. Ibiza, a Mediterranean island off the coast of Spain, is world famous for its electronic music culture and nightlife. Mel C has played at Pacha numerous times over her career, including five straight summers.

Existing Tattoos and Body Art

The new cherries ink joins a number of tattoos the British pop star has accumulated over the years. Her collection includes a large 'lucky' Celtic cross on her left arm, Japanese symbols on her right arm that translate to 'woman' and 'strength', and a dragon on her right leg.

Her additional body art includes a feather, a phoenix, a Celtic circlet and a lotus flower. She also has matching Tibetan tattoos on her forearms, with the inside of her right forearm translating to 'love' and her left forearm translating to 'happiness'.

Love-Hate Relationship With Body Art

Mel C has previously discussed having a love-hate relationship with her tattoos. In September 2022, she spoke to the Daily Mail about experiencing periods of tattoo regret, explaining that she goes through phases where she wishes her tattoos were not there.

She noted that her older designs can instantly carbon date her to the 1990s. Back then, while known worldwide as Sporty Spice in the Spice Girls, she had dinner with Madonna and asked why the Queen of Pop had no tattoos, to which Madonna replied, "Too permanent."

Mel C also reflected on whether her daughter Scarlet, whom she shares with ex Thomas Starr, might get inked. She joked that while she gives her daughter advice on many things, she has no tattooed leg to stand on when it comes to body art.

Television Confessions and Pranks

The singer also opened up about her body art during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Speaking to guest host Howie Mandel, she confirmed her mixed feelings about her tattoos, noting that they tell stories of different times in her life.

During the show, Mandel pointed out the Tibetan artwork on her inner right forearm. The comedian then teased Mel C by pretending he spoke fluent Tibetan and claiming the symbols did not match her definition, leaving the singer briefly worried before he admitted it was a joke.
