Ukrainian fitness trainer Marina Borzhemska has disclosed that severe migraine attacks caused her recent absence from social media. The 46-year-old television personality explained to her followers that worsening health problems had made it difficult to maintain her usual daily routine.
Borzhemska, who gained widespread recognition as a coach on the Ukrainian television series Zvasheni ta shchaslyvi, shared the update in a statement on Instagram. She explained that her reduced activity online was not caused by a loss of motivation or a lack of desire to communicate with her audience, but by intense physical illness.
Writing on social media, Borzhemska said she had never publicly discussed her struggles with migraines before. She noted that the headaches had recently grown so severe that they occasionally disrupted her normal life. She added that managing the condition while trying to maintain her active professional schedule has proved challenging.
Coping with severe symptoms
Borzhemska described experiencing days when light caused physical pain and ordinary sounds became unbearable. During those episodes, she said her primary desire was to stay inside a dark room and wait for the pain to retreat. She added that accepting those physical limits is particularly hard for a fitness trainer who is accustomed to staying active, motivating others, and maintaining a smiling public presence.
Migraines are a complex neurological condition characterized by intense, throbbing headaches that are often accompanied by extreme sensitivity to light, sound, and physical movement. Borzhemska has built a prominent career in Ukraine around personal training and physical fitness, guiding participants on Zvasheni ta shchaslyvi, the Ukrainian adaptation of the weight loss reality show format The Biggest Loser.
Borzhemska stated that she is now learning to listen to her body when her physical health forces her to rest. The update comes after the fitness expert previously spoke publicly about her personal life, including revealing how much money she spends each month on living expenses.
