Royal fans melted into the fact that every inch of Cambridge’s Princess Charlotte looks like a “daddy’s daughter” as she joins her family at her new school yesterday.
Seven-year-old Charlotte held William’s hand tightly as she drove to Lambrook School Wednesday afternoon to “settle in” before today’s first day.
As soon as he entered the building, William placed his hand on her daughter’s back in a seemingly reassuring gesture. He also watched Charlotte closely as she shook hands with Principal Jonathan Perry.

Instead, he joined hands with his mother, Kate, who also holds her nine-year-old eldest son, George.
The family, who arrived yesterday, lined up to meet with the headmaster, Jonathan Perry.
“Welcome to Lambrook,” Mr. Perry said to the children. “It’s nice having you with us. We look forward to next year.
He shook hands with them in turn and said, “Are you excited?” she asked. with three choruses “Yes”. “We can’t wait,” commented William, adding that the children had “a lot of questions.”
After shaking hands with the three Cambridge children, Principal Jonathan Perry ordered the family to climb the stairs to enter the school before noon.
The Duchess wore her soft brown curls in her signature blow dryer style and kept her neutral makeup and jewelry for this occasion.
Prince William and Kate seemed to be smiling as they entered Berkshire school with their young children this afternoon.
Mr. Perry’s wife, Jenny, who works at the pastoral group, waited at the door and greeted them with “Welcome back to Lambrook”, while William joked with “The whole gang”.
Prince George, Charlotte and Louis said they were “excited” to get started, while William later used them on the stairs of the grand 19th-century white mansion. One source said Cambridge children were “particularly excited” to be attending the same school for the first time.
The Duchess was the epitome of elegance in a £245 Rixo polka-dot brown dress paired with nude heels suitable for the occasion. She wore soft brown curls in her signature blow-dry style and kept her makeup and jewelry neutral for this occasion.
Her eyes sparkled as she walked hand in hand on the driveway with Prince George and Prince Louis, both dressed in summer school uniforms.
The Duke and Duchess are starting a new life in the countryside, away from the goldfish bowl of Kensington Palace, their official London residence, seen as an attempt to put their children first and give them more freedom.
William and Kate were known to dedicate their hearts to the Lambrook extracurricular school, which has 52 acres of land that will cost the couple a total of more than £50,000 a year for their three children.
