Has summer gone like a day? We understand. And the idea that there is more work and less sun does not warm at all. After three months of endless meetings with friends, evening walks and parties on Fridays, it seems like there should be a full recharge of energy. But in fact, unfortunately, it can be the other way around. And if you worked all summer from morning until late at night, not allowing yourself any rest, you just have to remember that mental health exists.
According to statistics from the American Institute of Psychoanalysis, employees are 60% more likely to experience workplace burnout in the fall than in other seasons. Many at this time are faced with apathy, unwillingness to do anything and loss of interest in their main activities, including their job duties. What is it connected with? It’s simple: the day is getting shorter, and leaving the house in the dark and returning home is not only uncomfortable, it also takes energy. But the good news is that all this can be avoided. “Burnout” is a term that has become especially popular in the last few years. It means a state of mental, physical or emotional exhaustion that occurs against the background of severe stress. Burnout is often associated with a burdensome and constant over-exertion routine that eventually leads to apathy, ignorance of one’s tasks, and an unwillingness to do anything.

When you track that you’re not getting enough rest and the race at work turns from a sprint to a marathon, it’s worth asking yourself honestly: Do I want to spend most of my life in this state? Am I ready to risk my mental and physical health? If the answer is no, try the tips below.
Reduce (ideally – eliminate) recycling. It does not work, that is, processing. Each of us has a work schedule and hours that we can devote to ourselves, to rest and personal affairs. It is clear that the situations are different: a difficult and intense period, an upcoming promotion, new tasks, etc. However, it is useful to understand that when you recycle, you do not increase the efficiency of your business. You get tired and in the long run this leads to decreased concentration, emotional instability and a lack of creative thinking.
Contrary to the notion that it is better to go to bed and rest later, it will help you a lot more if you put things off until the next working day.

Plan a vacation, weekend, or vacation ahead of time. In a frenzied rhythm, we forget to take care of ourselves and relax only when our body finally fails. That’s why some people work so fast and get sick. As sad as it may sound, for many, illness is the only way to slow down, think about their health, and take a break from work.
Decide when to take a vacation and what to do (remember that quality rest is an activity that has nothing to do with labor and burden). Decide on work issues ahead of time and warn your colleagues that you will be out of touch.

Try to do something to relax every day. No need to wait for the weekend to watch your favorite movie, take a bath or take a walk before bed. Make a list of things that can make you happy and most importantly relax. Look at this list every day and do a few things. You will see, the routine will be perceived much easier and you will have more energy to work.
Restore your lifestyle. Trite, but necessary. If you neglect your basic needs such as sleep and nutrition, you will not be able to function properly and recover from burnout.
