Celebrity chef Morgan Hipworth shared his popcorn chicken and chips recipe after announcing it was his all-time favorite fast food.

The chicken is marinated in buttermilk and spices before being coated with a thick crumb.
Put the chicken in the refrigerator for “at least an hour” before making the homemade french fries.
The 20-year-old peels potatoes, cuts them into flakes, and soaks them in cold water.
Then it cooks “until soft” before passing it in the deep fryer twice.
While the potatoes are cooking, she continues to make the popcorn chicken crumbs by combining the dry ingredients in a bowl.
He takes the fries out of the fryer and adds the salt before turning his attention to the chicken.
She puts each cube in the dry mix and makes sure it’s well coated before frying it in small batches for four to five minutes.
The young chef then served the golden chicken pieces with perfectly seasoned fries.

Morgan makes his own french fries by boiling the potatoes and frying them twice.

He also roasts the chicken in batches to make sure it is as crispy as possible.
And it seems that fans were impressed by the tutorial, with many calling the baker “majestic”.
A man said, “This video is very good, thank you brother.”
Another said he would definitely try the recipe at home before thanking the star.
One woman said it would take “three years” to prepare the dish, but she still enjoyed watching Morgan make it.
“I want KFC now,” one man said.
“It looks very nice, but I’m lazy, so I’ll go get some and be right back,” said another.
How can I make Morgan’s chicken and chips at home?
materials
For the Popcorn Chicken:
4-5 chicken legs cut into cubes of about 2*2 cm
chicken salt for serving
Baked:
1 liter of vegetable or sunflower oil for frying
For the marinade:
1 glass of buttermilk
1 teaspoon of white pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon MSG (optional, but tastes very good)
For dry combing:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup of cornmeal
2 teaspoons of white pepper
1 tablespoon of sea salt
2 teaspoons MSG (optional)
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
2 teaspoons of onion powder
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
for chips:
1 pound peeled Creme Royal or King Edward potatoes, diced into French fries
Flakes of freshly ground black pepper and sea salt to taste
Method
To make the Popcorn Chicken:
Place chicken in a bowl, add all marinade ingredients, stir to combine, and refrigerate to marinate for at least an hour or overnight.

Combine all the ingredients for the dry syrup in a bowl and mix.
Add 1 tablespoon of the marinade mix to the dehydrator and whisk to combine.
Heat a deep fryer or about 8 cm of vegetable oil to 170 ° C. While the oil is heating, drain most of the buttermilk marinade from the chicken, then dip in the dry scallops and press firmly into the flour mixture.
Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden and crispy.
To make chips:
Place the chips in a bowl of ice water and let sit for 15 minutes. Drain and place in a large saucepan over medium heat and add enough water to cover the chips and a pinch of salt.
Bring to a boil and cook for 6-8 minutes or until fork-piercing. Drain and transfer to a bowl lined with paper towels to absorb excess water.
Preheat a deep fryer (or oil-filled pan) to 150 and fry for about 4 minutes, or until just starting to get coated.
Remove from oil and allow fries to drain completely, then increase fryer temperature to 180°C.
Bake the potatoes for another 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Transfer the fries to a paper towel lined bowl. Sprinkle with salt and stir to combine.

But some were concerned about the use of powdered custard in savory cooking, while others questioned the use of MSG at home.
“Who uses MSG?” a man laughed.
“All of Asia and half the cooks in the world,” another robot replied.
The young chef said the dish could be prepared without the controversial ingredients, but insisted it was “too good to taste.”

She used cornbread instead of sweet cake mix to make the fan-shared muffins.
They were topped with mashed potatoes to make it look the same as white cream, and all this ensured the snack was delicious no matter how it looked.
To make cupcakes, you’ll need popcorn, potatoes and gravy, cornmeal, flour, baking powder, canned cream of corn, eggs and KFC milk chicken.
