We’ve put together some really cool pictures that you’ll look at in one breath.
“Hunting the Wild”
Probably the funniest movie on our list. This is the story of Ricky Baker, a fat and spoiled bully who was adopted by a family from the wild – Bella and the reclusive Huck. When Bella dies (sorry for the spoiler), Huck and Ricky flee to prevent the boy from being picked up by social services. An absurd New Zealand comedy that must be watched by a large group (our favorite scene with an underground tunnel).
“The Buster Scruggs Song”
Events unfold in small rural towns in the Wild West. These are six separate stories united by a single thought – the fittest survive. The movie is hilarious, tragic, and beautifully shot at the same time, so it’s no surprise that the Coen Brothers were nominated for Oscars for Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costumes, and Best Song. And personally, we appreciated the project, as it is impossible to predict how the plot will turn out.
“obsession”
We’re crazy about handsome Miles Teller (32)! And this is one of his best works – a story about a young drummer who aspires to fame. You watch this movie from start to finish in one breath and your palms are already sweating from stress. By the way, an interesting fact is that in the film the hero of Miles will be in a car accident, and six years ago the actor himself had the same accident (at that time scars appeared on his face). the star he decided not to mask).
“Pazmansky Devil”
Did we mention we’re crazy about Miles Teller? Be sure to watch this movie about one of the most prominent boxers nicknamed the Pamper Devil (a true story, by the way). His career was at its peak when he broke his neck and doctors said he would no longer walk. But Winnie herself did not think so. The picture will appeal not only to your boyfriend (the battles here are very intense), but also to you – the authors did not forget about the love line, and the make-up artists did a great job on the characters’ outfits.
“Hidden Figures”
If you liked “Help” and “Green Book”, you will definitely like this movie. A team of African-American women is doing the mathematical calculations needed to launch the first space mission for NASA (and it’s in a time of discrimination!). By the way, the picture is based on real events, and the rating of the project in Kinopoisk is 97%.
“Miracle”
The film is based on the New York Times bestselling novel by author RJ Palacio. This is a very touching story about a boy named August who has had nearly 30 facial surgeries due to a genetic error. So her mother (Julia Roberts, by the way) takes her to school for the first time. Stock up on wipes because you’ll be crying nonstop!
“Sentence”
The “sentence” goes on for almost two hours, but you don’t even notice it. The film is based on a true story and tells the story of a single mother whose brother is convicted of murder. Confident of his innocence, he spent 10 years of his life and sacrificed his family to investigate himself. Meanwhile, the plot and shooting style are very reminiscent of the True Detective series.
“Still Alice”
For a fun evening with friends, this drama is not appropriate, but the Hollywood blockbuster will definitely help you relax alone (or together). The film won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a British Academy Award and a Screeners Guild Award (and all awards for Best Actress starring Julianne Moore). She plays linguistics professor Alice Howland. Alice is happily married and has three grown children. But one day everything changes when he starts to forget his words…
“The perks of Being a Wallflower”
A story about Charlie, an unpopular high school student who has no friends until he meets Patrick and Sam (by the way, Sam is played by Emma Watson (28), but you don’t remember Hermione from Harry Potter at all). It’s a great option for the evening if you’re in a bad mood – lots of good music, emotional moments, and the final scene is very motivating. The critics’ rating of “Kinopoisk” is 85% (not bad!).
“New Z era”
And of course we also thought of horror movie and zombie fans (there are worthy projects in this genre as well). For example, New Age Z is a movie about a zombie epidemic on Earth. It’s a very cool story and you definitely don’t expect an ending like this!
