The prime time television actors who grab the audience’s attention are people usually nominated for a BAFTA, such as Jodie Comer and Sean Bean, to name a few.

But this Superdrug saleswoman won people’s hearts with her “minimal effort” amateur performance for an in-store advertisement.

Health and beauty retailer St Helens has a TikTok account where staff promote deals that customers can get their hands on.

However, the chords were definitely not the highlight of this viral clip.

In a video that garnered a staggering 867,000 views, two staff members took to the stage to announce their recent Father’s Day aftershaves.

And of course the staff member playing the guest role stole the show.

The dark-haired girl carried a basket and put her hand on her head exclaiming, “Urgh I really need a Father’s Day gift this Sunday, what am I going to get?”

The staff member, turned star, rushed to the perfume counter where another worker who mostly stayed off camera shared some great deals.

“Well we have the hairy duck for £ 5, the Hugo Boss for £ 38 and the Versace for £ 21,” said the supporting “actress”.

Turning to the assistant acting as buyer, he enthusiastically said: “I take them all, what a bargain.

Within days of being released, the clip made it to Twitter, where people praised them for their talent and even asked them to receive a BAFTA.

One person said: “Superdrug’s TikTok performance in St Helen deserves a BAFTA.”

Another added: “I’ve been watching it nonstop for two days. I’m so obsessed.

While a third expressed: “A rising star is thinking of me”.

Someone else shared: “Gives dramatic vibes to the GCSE”.

Meanwhile, a fifth person was thrilled: “He really said the minimum effort for the minimum wage with this performance and I love it.”
