Once there was pinocchio and pinocchio: how different the Russian adaptations of the books from the original

As a child, we noticed a suspicious similarity from “Scarlet Flower from the beautiful and monster,“ Emerald City’s Wizard ”,“ The magnificent magician from the Oz country ”. However, the championship issue was more or less concerned.

It turns out that many classic fairy tales are older originals, but with all similarities, these stories in different countries have grown with quite interesting details. And before turning into one of the Disney princesses, it is not about street lands like a nun of Greek love, which turned her head into ancient Egyptian ruler.

At first glance, the adapted literature is secondary, but thanks to that some of the stories can survive censorship and gain distribution. Many of the original fairy tales were terrible and we could only recognize them in adulthood.

We tell you how the Russian adaptations of foreign books are different.

“Scarlet Flower” and “Beauty and Monster”

Sergei Aksakov’s “The Scarlet Flower” fairy tale was published in 1858 in addition to “Bagrov-Vyuka Children’s Years” autobiography. According to the author, he heard him from Pelageya’s key in his childhood, and later he was very surprised by the “beauty and monster” (La Belle et La Bête), after ripening, sighing all the jokes, hundreds of hundreds of faces, one hundreds of hundreds, a delay and a house. French, Madam Leprens de Bomon. Later, since Aksakov was rewritten by Gabriel Vilnev, a similar folkore movement, since he was in his original source, he saw the “Beauty and Monster” Opera Zemir and Azor Grry. Apuley Golden Donkey.

Bomon and “Beauty and Monster” Vilnev in “Beautiful and Monster” are almost the same unless there is an explanation of Belle and Monster before their meetings. In contrast, in the “Scarlet Flower”, instead of a magic mirror, the monster gives the girl a ring that helps the girl back to the castle and thus saved it. The Russian version is also distinguished by the beauty of the castle. Belle (literally translated as “beauty ında) is treated with delicious food as a meter of the castle and agrees to be the wife of the monster, then in our version of the first hides its appearance and communicates with beauty with beauty and beauty. In addition, a beautiful prince who accepts the love of beauty is in dreams he sees, so he thinks he is the prisoner of the monster. Aksakov’s version is the last. When Belle saves the monster, she learns that she is captivated by a bad fairy, and only love can save her. In “Scarlet Flower”, the hero, who notices emotions for the monster, faints and then learns that the prince is a person from dreams and monster. And the story is different: before that, he tried to please 11 more girls from different social strata, but they did not respond, so they are ready to neglect the rules for the sake of the savior and to make the queen’s merchant’s daughter.

And the legend of Amur and Psyche is completely different, where there is no such monster here. From the beauty of Psyche’s beauty, the goddess Aphrodite asks her son Amur to make his love the worst creature. However, by injuring a love arrow, he gave inflammation with his emotions. Psyche will live with Amur without knowing his appearance. After explaining him, he leaves him. To return your lover, a psycho must pass many aphrodite tests.

Meanwhile, Aksakov was not the only writer to re -tell this conspiracy. Only Slavic adaptations (Russian, Ukraine and Belarus) are more than two dozens.

“Emerald City Wizard” and “an amazing magician from the Oz country”

“Emerald City Wizard” Alexander Volkov saw the light in 1939 and turned out to be so popular that he received five more books about the emerald city: “Urfin Gius and Wood Kings”, “Hot God Marranov”, “Sarı Sis”, “Dedicated Kalın Kalınmış Kalin Sis”. The plan of the first book is based on Layman Baum from Oz.

Initially, the books had several re -pressure. The first ones are more than the transition of the Baum story instead of several chapters, and those who are late are distinguished by the characteristics of the characters and their behavior. For example, like Dorothy Gale, Ellie Smith, Uncle John and Anna in Kansas (one house, the other in one minibus), and then her parents and black dog Totoshka are an orphan. Originally, a hurricane is a natural phenomenon, caused by the witchcraft of Guignema in the Russian version. In Baum, the geography of the country is divided into four cardinal points directed by sorcerers. Volkov’s ownership of the sorcerers is painted in national colors: Blue for Chews, Migguns purple, speakers – pink and so on. Moreover, residents have certain features such as not only the clothes of their colors, but also such as flashing eyes or jaws.

In the “Wizard of Oz ,, the sorcerers have no name except the ruler of South Glinda. He directed Stella and the Pink country in Volkov. Wizards in the north, east and west take the names of Wiline, Gingham and Bastin, respectively. Hudwin runs a magical country with Volkov, and Baum is ruled by a particular Oscar Zoroaster Fadrig Isaac Norman Henc Emmanuel Ambroiz Diggs (its initials form the word ozpinhead, which means “Sizglucets”).

Similarly with the main character’s satellites. Baum had an anonymous railing, and Volkov had a horror name. And otherwise, in the original, a lumberjack called Nick Chopper and Volkov, although it made sense to have it because it was a man before, was left without a name. Before meeting with Leo, Volkov comes with the episode that Ellie missed the cannibals and helps the squirrel, fear and the lumberjack to save it.

The ends are different. If Goodwin promises to help Ellie and his friends to get rid of Bastinda, Oz tells Dorothy to kill the Western sorcerer directly. Volkov describes more detailed life under captivity with the evil guy. Flying monkeys are not damaged by the fear of silver shoes to the girl, they are protected by the kiss of the Northern Wizard in the Russian version of Baum. Ellie doesn’t know the fear of Bastinda’s water (it turns out that she never washed in her life because it is predicted by water), but Dorothy knows. Baum’s home road is explained in more detail through a porcelain country and other lands. It is also found in the original Dorothy and Oz in Kansas, but there is no volkov.

Aibolite and Dr. Dutill

The good treating animals. Aibolite, emerges, also has a prototype. Korney Chukovsky was inspired by Hugh Lofing, written in the 1920s “Dr. Dnedlittla’s history”. Four years later, the USSR publishing houses ordered two transfers: the first was completed by Vladimir Khavkin, and Korney Chukovsky was responsible for the latter by adding a few stories by changing the hero’s name and some details. It was the second one who gained popularity among readers. With each re -pressure, the text gradually turned away from the original and turned into an independent work.

Initially, Loofing found his story with dutylitet during the First World War. The author joined the hostility in Flanders and invented a fun date for them not wanting to upset his children with sad letters. Dutlittla’s name consists of do and little words and means “too much small work”. At first, the hero who knows how to speak the language of animals is a veterinarian, but in re -printing becomes a naturalist scientist. According to Lofing, horses suffered like people in war, but their fate was very different.

No matter how serious the soldier was, they fought for his life, he was directed to the aid of all surgical tools that developed perfectly during the war. A serious wounded horse was shot with a bullet with a bullet. However, frankly, horse language information will be required to work on our evacuation points. I had this idea.

The book was such a success among readers, for example, the circus of action, zoo, opera and so on. Dr. He has a few close friends with dutylitet: between Tommy Stubbins and Matthew Magg and animals-Polinesis parrots, Gab-Gab Piglet, Dog Jeep, Dab-Dab, Monkey Chi-Chi-Chi, Tu-Tu, Tainitolkai and White Mouse were only called to wake up later.

One feature of Korney Chukovsky’s works is that his characters circulate from different fairy tales, because Dr. Aibolit’s name has become a home name in our culture. In the original story, the hero comes to Africa, where sick animals heal within 10 days. Moreover, it uses chocolate and gogol-mogol as a drug. But the fairy tale “Barmalay”, Dr. Aibolite comes to a plane to save Tanya and Vanya from pirate-Creeal. Moreover, BARMALEY combines the images of Bena Ali from the native merger and pirate Bena Ali from the Lofting version. Aibolite is also seen in Moidodyr, telephone and bibigonda. Aibolite has become popular especially in Soviet cartoons: Aibolite and Barmaley, Limpopo, Pavovny Tail, Gray Wolf and Red Red Ride Hood and others.

“Golden Key or Pinocchio Adventure” and “Pinocchio Adventures. History of a Wooden Baby”

Pinocchio emerged as a result of the adaptation of Alexei Tolstoy Italian fairy tale “Pinocchio Adventures .. The Soviet version started with translation and then grew with original details. Interestingly, in the original, the main character was waiting for a more ruthless fate, but the author’s friend had to hang on a wooden baby and suggested to change the child’s death. As a result, Collodi accepted, but even though the scene was hanging, the hero stayed in prison and the death of one of the children.

Our version is more adapted for children. Pinocchio’s name is literally from Italian translated as “baby, puppet” (burattino). Pope Carlo was replaced by Antonio and Jeppeto’s friend Mandzhafoko-Karabas-Barabas’s puppet Giuseppe, Kanis Medoro-Artist, Azure Hair-A Mallwine baby, a fox and a cat and a fairy, Alice and Basilio and Pierro Harlequin.

Except for details, the story is usually similar. If Pinocchio grows his nose because of lies, he does not have this in the pinocchio. The Golden Key was taken from another fairy tale – “Alice in Wonderland.” In addition, the original does not have a hidden door and turtle bread, and babies are only puppets in the hands of a puppet. Pinocchio adventures are significantly shorter: while all events take place for several days, the pinocchio circulates for more than two years. The end is also different: Pinocchio turns into a real child and re -educated and the pinocchio remains a baby, but makes friends.

According to some contemporaries, Tolstoy created a reference to Moscow’s theater life in a fairy tale. Pope Carlo and his friend Giuseppe show Constantine Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. And at an attempt by Pinocchio, to escape from Maxim Gorky’s Capri Island on the Pine “Flight” Karabas-Barabs.

“I wouldn’t guess myself, but they explained to me in the theater. The main character was pinocchio, Malvina, Blok’s wife, Mendeleev’s love and pierrot.

“Old Man Hottabych” and “Copper Jug”

In 1900, Thomas Gatrine wrote the story of the “Copper counter” under the name of F. Enty. Inside, Venimo Horace’s architect dreams of winning the heart of an aristocratic girl, and accidentally saves the demons in which she lived different adventures. Moreover, the gin usually intervenes in love relationships.

In Soviet adaptation, it could not be a higher class human. For this reason, Lazar labin greatly changed the land: instead of London gentleman, the pioneer Volodyya (or Volka Ibn Alyosha, who caught a strange jug in the Moscow River) appeared. In gratitude for salvation, a good gin decided to teach the young man about geography lessons and went to India on a carpet. Along the way, they fall into ridiculous situations caused by a sunbed of modern people.
