Trend forecasting agency WGSN, fashion analytics platforms Tagwalk and T-Fashion, and paint makers Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams have named the leading colors for 2027 across clothing, interiors, and web design. As reported by Russian news outlet Lenta.ru, vibrant shades including electric blue, grassy green, pink, and fiery red are returning to prominence ahead of the Year of the Red Fire Goat.
Luminous Blue, Pink, and Red on 2027 Runways
An ultra-saturated shade called Luminous Blue has overtaken royal purple to top the 2027 fashion color rankings. Both international trend agency WGSN and American fashion publication Who What Wear named the glowing blue tone as their color of the year.
During the recent Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Weeks, Luminous Blue appeared across nearly every major runway, from avant-garde labels Loewe and Kallmeyer to classic fashion houses Givenchy and Ralph Lauren. Analysts note that Luminous Blue should not be confused with cobalt blue or ultramarine, though both of those shades will also remain popular in 2027.
Moving away from strict monochrome palettes in sportswear and formal wear, major fashion houses have also embraced childhood-inspired pinks, retiring the old stereotype of pink as a cliché for blondes. Chocolate Brown, Creamy Yellow, and Metallics
For calmer, classic wardrobes, fashion analytics platform T-Fashion reported that chocolate brown was the third most frequent color in the Spring/Summer 2027 collections, trailing only black and white. The shade appeared in 723 out of 12,320 analyzed looks across tights, bodysuits, skirts, trousers, coats, dresses, handbags, and gloves, alongside related tones such as almond, sand, and camel.
T-Fashion also identified creamy yellow as the fastest-growing runway color, with its presence rising nearly 1.5 times from 1.3 percent to 2.1 percent at recent fashion shows. Labels including Zimmermann, Auralee, Greta Constantine, and Xu Zhi showcased creamy yellow garments in their lines.
Meanwhile, metallic finishes have returned for shoppers tired of understated clean girl and quiet luxury aesthetics. Jonathan Anderson introduced shimmering silver and light-green trousers, while designer Anthony Vaccarello made his latest collection for Saint Laurent entirely gold.
Designers also experimented widely with green on the runways, using seafoam, sage, mint, and especially chartreuse, a distinctive tone between yellow and lime green that stylists recommend wearing sparingly as an accent. Green also leads every major interior design studio forecast for 2027. American premium paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore named Webster Green HC-130, a dark forest shade first added to its palette 50 years ago, as its main color for 2027.
Benjamin Moore representative Andrea Magno explained that the company focused on the green family for 2027 after analyzing past, present, and future color trends and finding that variations of green consistently show remarkable resilience. Magno added that Webster Green HC-130 combines calming stability with optimistic energy, while its restraint creates both a sense of groundedness and a forward-looking feel. The shade suits any room and pairs easily with cream, beige, and gray tones.
Major paint maker Sherwin-Williams selected Celery, a grassy green with a yellow undertone, as its 2027 color of the year. Architectural Digest described the shade as a visual exhale after a decade of deep greens, noting that it feels lighter than rich emerald tones without overwhelming a space and pairs well with neutral base colors as well as bright red, blue, and mustard.
Meadowland Green, Olive, and Energy Orange
WGSN included Meadowland Green among its top interior colors for 2027, blending pastel green, sage, creamy yellow, and earthy tones to evoke sunlit meadows and green apples. According to publication LBB, the trend aligns with both the nature-loving cottagecore wave and the old money aesthetic, working best on walls as seen in catalogs from Asian Paints and Nerolac, or on standalone furniture and decor items for those avoiding a full renovation.
Paint company Behr, founded in 1947, is promoting an earthy olive and mossy light-khaki shade called Grounded, inspired by the restorative power of nature. Designed to make spaces feel cozy, lived-in, and authentic, the color looks fresh in morning light and darkens by evening as if enveloping the room. Experts note that Grounded works especially well in kitchens with wooden floors, brass hardware, and copper accents, as well as on exterior facades paired with natural wood to blend into the surrounding landscape.
Bright citrus shade Energy Orange will also dominate 2027 interior design and homeware, according to WGSN, which states that the color symbolizes resilience, vitality, optimism, and security, and pairs easily with neutrals and all shades of green. Orange gained traction in late 2025 when Apple unveiled its orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, Taylor Swift made orange the central visual symbol of her album The Life of a Showgirl, and Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner wore matching orange outfits to the premiere of Marty Supreme.

In web design, German studio Bright Nation reports that users form an impression of a website in about 50 milliseconds, making color essential for capturing attention. Bright Nation experts highlight two contrasting 2027 website color directions that both react against the dominance of artificial intelligence design.
The first category features futuristic bioluminescent colors, including ocean blue, electric turquoise, and phosphorescent green, which are used to promote AI products and virtual reality services while highlighting inclusivity and adaptability. The second uses deliberately imperfect analog shades evoking nature and the pre-AI world, such as old paper, terracotta, burnt sienna, and dusty mauve, to build trust with audiences fatigued by polished imagery.
Among established trends for 2026 and 2027, Bright Nation also cites ecofuturism pairing natural greens with electric accents, soft interfaces using cream backgrounds with dark blue contrast instead of pure white, split-complementary schemes, and quiet luxury palettes of burgundy, pale gold, and deep blue. Designers recommend the 60-30-10 rule: 60 percent neutral background, 30 percent secondary color, and 10 percent bright accents for buttons and call-to-action phrases.
Colors for the 2027 Year of the Red Fire Goat
Under the Chinese calendar, the Year of the Goat begins on February 6, 2027, and runs until January 25, 2028, with the Red Fire Goat making red the main color of the year.
