20th Century is preparing to shoot a film in which Leonardo DiCaprio will lead. According to Deadline, Martin Scorsese will sit in the director’s chair. The film has no script yet, but it will be adapted from Erik Larson’s book “Satan in the White City”, which is based on real events.
The subject of the book revolves around the story of the 1893 Chicago World Fair. Henry Howard Holmes built a hotel in the city that became a nightmare of young women. It turned out that his creator was a serial killer. Holmes sold the ruins to medical faculties. According to various sources, he killed 27 to 200 people.
Leonardo DiCaprio acquired film rights 15 years ago and planned to make a feature film with Scorsese. The duo has many successful joint projects: “Gangs of New York”, “The Aviator”, “The Departed” and “Shutter Island”. In 2019, DiCaprio’s film adaptation decided to transform the film adaptation into a series expected to be published in Hulu in 2021.
