Tom Hardy (“Venom,” “Legend”) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Becoming John Lennon”) are set to star in the crime thriller “Blood on the Snow,” based on the book by Jo Nesbe. The Norwegian author took charge of adapting the script. The film is directed by Cary Fukunaga (“It,” “No Time to Die”), with Hardy himself serving as one of the producers.
The film will take place in Oslo in the 1970s. In the story, hitman Ulf (Taylor-Johnson) is tasked by his boss Daniel Hoffman (Hardy) to kill his wife. Everything will be fine, but killing women goes against his principles and Ulf falls head over heels in love with the victim. It turns out that behind the mask of a cold-blooded killer lies an extraordinary intelligence, a commitment to moral principles and a romantic nature. Ulf plans to escape to save his lover, but doing it alone is not that easy and he finds himself in the middle of a showdown between gangster groups in Oslo.
This is not the only future project based on the work of Jo Nesbø: the author is currently working on the Harry Hole series. Before the end of the year, “Kraven the Hunter” and the horror film “Nosferatu” starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson will also be released on screens. And very soon, on October 23, Tom Hardy will return with the sequel “Venom 3: The Last Dance”.
