“The King and the Clown” will now return to the screens in movie format with the subtitle “Like an Old Fairy Tale”. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Film Production News”.
The film’s title is a reference to the band’s fifth studio album, released in 2001. It will be directed by Rustam Mosafir and will write the script of the story together with Alexander Buzin.
Let us recall that in the first days of the premiere of the series “The King and the Clown” it caused disappointment among fans of the group and ordinary viewers. Some were confused by the “unconvincing” dialogues, others by the “crumpled” plot and the fairy-tale insertions of the songs with their characters. But later the film still attracted the attention of viewers, especially Kinopoisk users. In 2023, the TV series “The King and the Clown” ranked first on the platform in terms of viewing.
