One woman shared her fear of her partner cheating on her after she found a Viagra voucher in her pocket after a night out.
Posting on mumsnet, a UK-based forum, the woman explained that her husband was struggling to achieve an erection due to diabetes.
He said he claimed to have gone out with friends the night before he found the Viagra slip in his jacket pocket, and that he had only been drinking alcohol before admitting that he had taken the drugs himself.
The woman said her partner refused to cheat but “didn’t take Viagra to me”.
Comments on the post tried to reassure the woman that her partner might not be in a relationship, but others acknowledged that they would also be concerned about cheating if they found out their partner was using drugs.

The woman who posted it to Mumsnet said her husband claimed he took Viagra to improve his erections, which had worsened over time due to diabetes.
In a lengthy post, the woman claimed that “something went wrong” before her partner left the house to visit friends.
He wrote: “I didn’t like how I was feeling all night, so I looked at Amex statement via Apple Pay (as I ordered Amex from my iPhone wallet). I found out that he spent £29.50 at Tesco at 8:30pm, but I didn’t know what to do.
“It was approaching 2 o’clock and he still hadn’t come back and I finally fell asleep. So I’m not even sure what time it is.
“Anyway, I took the kids to school and when I got back, something told me to look in his jacket pocket and I found the Viagra voucher/card.
“When I confronted him about it, I asked him what he was buying from Tesco, he said alcohol, and I kept asking what else. Then I told him I knew he had taken Viagra and that this wasn’t the first time and that he had taken it because his diabetes had worsened and it couldn’t be that hard anymore.
“I told you that you didn’t use it with me and how convenient it was to bring it with you that day when you had to go to your friends. He refused to cheat (obviously)!!’
Numerous comments to the post told the woman that they thought her partner was cheating.
One person said, ‘I used to think you were on a date with a prostitute. Sorry OP.’

Numerous comments on the subject told the woman that her partner may have taken Viagra for cheating.
Another wrote: ‘Maybe it’s betrayal, not diabetes, that’s making their erections less difficult. I certainly wouldn’t rule out cheating just because of persistent erectile dysfunction. I’ve seen a lot of posters here who were stunned to find that their partners with ED were actually cheating on them.”
The third added: “Well, why don’t you ask him to show you the package? If he can’t (as some are missing) throw him out, he’s obviously cheating”.
However, others reassured the woman that her partner might not be cheating on her and shared their experiences with men who trust Viagra.
‘Why do people automatically call it work? OP my H is diabetic. He spoke to his counselor and they prescribed Viagra. She was embarrassed to say it didn’t work and found the package, she admitted.
“Men have feelings too. By the way, my DH was definitely not cheating, he felt useless and wanted to try without getting my hopes up,” she wrote.

Other comments tried to reassure the woman that her partner did not tell her to take Viagra out of embarrassment.
Another said, “I had an ex who wasn’t getting hard, who even unknowingly took Viagra and went out with his friends and drank it on the way home hoping it would work.
“He never admitted to taking it and he’s never been able to harden up, even with pills. Ask him to get one for the two of you and see how it works. That way you can see the truth for yourself and I bet it won’t turn out too well.
“Even a non-hardcore man is unlikely to cheat, very few women want to do it halfway.”
A third added: “Even if he caught one or more, that doesn’t prove he cheated. When it comes to sex, it’s not uncommon for men to try it first to see if it works. But I don’t see taking Viagra as proof of cheating.’
