Growing this popular superfood requires a lot of water, which causes drought around the fields because there is already very little water in the areas where this fruit grows. In general, if you pay attention to the menus of many new restaurants, you will notice that you do not come across the “avocado toast” option very often. Personally, it seems to us that the issue, of course, is not about the environment (well, let’s be honest, why would a Russian care where in the world there is a drought because of avocados). The problem is, there are so many different new items on the menu that just eating avocado toast is no longer interesting.

It seems like everyone has been talking about healthy lifestyles for the last few years. But in reality, it turns out that healthy food restaurants are not that popular among healthy food fans. More precisely, such a project is definitely not likely to last for a long time. In the industry these are called “seasonal” or “annual”. Therefore, it is much more effective for businesses to open pop-up projects or introduce special campaigns that will be valid for a certain period of time (for example, from May to August). After all, restaurants aren’t just about the food, they’re also about the festive atmosphere, which definitely doesn’t go well with broccoli or vegan borscht.

Remember how everyone went crazy about bowls a few years ago? This is a dish consisting mainly of rice, raw fish and various vegetables. Of course, then they started replacing fish with shrimp, chicken and beef. But we’ll skip this story. In general, over the years, the dish has completely fallen out of fashion – you can understand this by the fact that you can no longer find it on the menus of popular restaurants. Just a few years ago, bowls were everywhere.

Comfort food is now in fashion – dishes that you definitely cannot call a gastronomic discovery and delicacy, but still eat with pleasure. For example, mashed potatoes or fried potatoes. Believe me, there are plenty of such items on the menu of stylish restaurants. By the way, the explanation for this is quite simple: everyone is very tired of complex combinations. I want clarity, including food.
Non-photogenic dishes
Visuals are everything, especially in the age of content that can now be created at any opportunity. It is not enough for a food to be delicious for everyone to want to try it.
