Sony’s superhero movie Madame Web premiered in the United States. Critics were not entirely happy with the premiere. Rotten Tomatoes rates the film at just 18% fresh.

Following the premiere, critics literally lined up to voice their complaints about the project. For example, Metacritic gave the film only 29 points out of 100, placing it last among the films in the Sony cinema universe.

“There is nothing bleak and empathetic here. The movie is as stupid and dull as the worst representatives of the genre, with terrible special effects taken from the TV series, uninteresting action, and unfunny and ridiculous dialogue. “The characters are drowning in a poorly written narrative, and even the most meaningful lines from the trailer are sadly missing from the final cut,” writes The Guardian critic Ben Lee.
Let us also remind you that the plot of “Madame Web” is about paramedic Cassandra Webb, played by Dakota Johnson. After a brush with death, he discovers the ability to see the future and change it. The project also featured Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced and Tahar Rahim.
