The series ‘Strings’, created by Vision Republic with the support of Iran, is returning to our screens. For now, of course, only on the screens of the online services Kinopoisk and Wink. But as they say, God’s ways are mysterious, maybe soon we will see the series not only there. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the second season, which premieres today, January 25.
A day before its official release, we had the chance to attend a special screening of the first episode and also speak with the musical drama’s overall producer. Unfortunately, he did not spoil it, but he shared interesting moments from the “inner kitchen”. For example: in the new season we will see how the players had to dive into a pool of icy water.
“We tried to keep 90 percent of the previous team because the result depends on the consistency of the team. The shooting process went on all summer long and passed in the blink of an eye. Everything went quite smoothly and quickly. In fact, we went without overtime. With a cast like this, this “It’s a hit or miss. They are not afraid of heat or cold. And they swim in cold pools,” shared Dmitry Kim, general producer of the series “Strings”.
He also touched on the project’s most likely unrealized third season: “It seems like the third season won’t be worth mentioning because both the plot and the themes will be less interesting among younger viewers.”
Maybe we won’t say much, but this series is still worth watching on its own. It is better to listen carefully. If only for the sake of Alliance’s song “At Dawn”, which sounds completely different from the cello accompaniment.
Let us also remind you that the series “Strings” tells the story of young and talented cellists, whose video accidentally went viral and who had to cope with the popularity of their quartet, as well as actively prepare for an international competition. But is it that easy to do this when your new coach is a world-famous musician who left the New York Symphony Orchestra in a scandal and puts demands on the team at a completely different level?
But in the new season they will face new challenges: difficulties in relationships, mental disorders and young fatherhood.
Guests of the event: Oleg Ots, Alina Rachkovskaya, Denis Donskoy, Dmitry Kim, Nikolai Viktorov, Alexandra Ledneva and others.
