Few people go to work as if it were a holiday, but often there are pleasant moments in the form of good colleagues or interesting tasks in their favorite place. It’s natural to feel frustrated in your career, but sometimes the universe sends us warning signs that shouldn’t be ignored.

The only thing that brings happiness is money
They say there is nothing more permanent than temporary. And you feel like you’ve stayed at the job longer than you planned, which is now a “transition point”, and as if you don’t have the courage to decide on changes. The fear of losing income is familiar to many people, but even in turbulent times like these, there are many opportunities. The important thing is to be able to call them. It may be helpful to ask colleagues at previous jobs about interesting alternatives.
Inconsistency between personal ambitions and company values
You wanted to work in an international company, but connections with foreign partners are “on the move”. Or the bosses are cutting salaries and closing branches in other cities, but you liked business trips. Your manager has been through a busy work period and is now torturing his employees with endless overtime and fruitless meetings. If this happens, it’s worth considering. Maybe the company is not bad, but at some point you parted ways. It is possible.
Lack of professional development
Sometimes we are satisfied with everything except our position in the company. If you’ve been working in the same position for several years, you can talk directly to your boss. Maybe he has been looking for someone for a position for a long time and you will be lucky. If it is obvious that there is nothing to wait for a promotion, then I need to ask myself what my long-term expectations are from the profession. Otherwise, you may face burnout.
Everything is getting out of control
If before you were literally “on fire” with your work and took on many projects, but now even small tasks are not free from minor flaws, this may also be a sign that it is time to change jobs. Professionalism helps us when we start work without enthusiasm, but this does not last long. However, the eye becomes blurred, concentration is impaired, apathy occurs and as a result, the quality of work deteriorates.
Constant weakness and fatigue
Sometimes the body itself sends signals that something urgently needs to be changed. If you find that you are physically ill for no obvious reason, then perhaps it is because you are “out of place.” This happens even if the co-workers and colleagues are nice. Be careful, because your physical health also seems to deteriorate when you communicate with an unpleasant person. Remember: No job is more valuable than your health.
The company is going through a bad period
If everything is going well at work so far, you don’t want to run away from a sinking ship. However, the management of the company has changed. Or bosses are constantly discussing something behind closed doors, while other employees share rumors about staff reductions. In this case, it would be really useful to consider your participation in the company sensitively. There are always alternatives. Still, this is a profession, not a “family.”
Toxic environment in the team
Most often fish rot from the head. If gossiping, giving information, swearing, and setting traps for each other have become a tradition in a company, it means that the management encourages this type of communication. Then you have to honestly ask yourself if you need it. If a highly competitive environment keeps you on your toes, then all is well. But often in large companies corporate culture and communication standards are at a high level, so check if you are really in a good place or if this is just another “bedbug”.
