In the photos, taken by Martinez SimsOH Friends The actress styled her raven tresses into shiny curls. Tracee also added a bold plum lipstick to her minimalist glam. For the fashion magazine’s Fall/Winter 2023 issue, Tracee opened up about where her love for all things fashion began. “I was a magazine girl. I have magazines from ’83 until the late ’90s, when I stopped collecting them. She, Fashion, Harper’s Bazaar“I like everything and just reviewed them,” he explained to the outlet.

“I thought my life was like a photo shoot or a parade,” Tracee continued. “And then I started working Ralph Lauren, so it had a lot of Ralph Lauren. And so it was always like a game: how could I get the things that I thought matched my taste? The Pattern Beauty founder explained how she bought into fashion before her success in Hollywood. “I started to become a vintage girl. Throughout college, I would be a part of the Salvation Army,” Tracee shared.

“I really enjoyed vintage shopping. “I had a collection of salmon and green Levi’s laces… and I did until I started earning money,” she said. Now, at almost 51, she recalls how the clothes she wore in her youth were a sort of “armor” for herself. “As a child, it was armor for me, and as a teenager, it was the way I dressed and then it became the way I expressed myself – it was a form of creative expression,” Tracee added. “I just have a genuine love for clothes. It’s not fashion. Clothes.”

Wearing a bold look for the photoshoot, Tracee wore a leather jacket with a denim skirt. She also wowed her fans in a monochromatic green ensemble, all pulled from her personal clothing archive. Furthermore, the fashionista explained that her mother did not financially support her passion for fashion while she was growing up.

“My mother at one point told me to get a job. She said, “Yes, yes, I don’t pay for all this stuff.” I don’t know what you think it is,’” she explained. “’I make sure you have food to eat, you have a roof over your head, you have doctor’s appointments and clothes on your back, but we don’t do fashion. That’s not what a mother should do. She says, “It’s up to you, boy.” This is your obsession.’” The new edition of MEN will begin shipping on November 1st.
