With love from all over Russia: Where to go to the sea this summer?

With love from all over Russia: Where to go to the sea this summer?

All we want to do this summer is to swim. When you look at the prices of international air travel, the desire to travel completely disappears. But at The Fashion Vibes we are optimistic. And now if the overseas tours are as much as the average annual salary of capital managers, we will go to domestic resorts.

There are many stereotypes about holidays in Russian cities: from terrible service to the complete absence of interesting places to see at your leisure. We do not agree with this, because the offers in the southern resorts are no longer worse than the all-inclusive system in Turkey. Take, for example, Sochi, where fashionable beach clubs have long appeared on the beaches instead of salted corn.

We decided to dispel all myths about domestic resorts, so we’ve rounded up the places you should go this summer.

Sochi

How to get there: by plane (4 hours), by train (1 day 18 hours), by car (23 hours)

We love Sochi for its delicious food, extraordinary landscapes and hundreds of adventure opportunities. And yes, we are serious about the last point. We do not know a single person who did not fall into a situation during a vacation in Sochi, after which a slight memory loss was observed in the morning. During the day you can relax on the Del Mar beach, and in the evening have cocktails on the DOM patio – by the way, you can continue there, but already on the third floor, where the largest karaoke in the city is located.

And if you suddenly can’t stand the heat, you can always go to the mountains. And the most convenient way to do this in the local Lastochka: just an hour – and you are already in Rosa Khutor, you go up by lifts to the very top of the snow-covered mountains.

Poplar

How to get there: to Novorossiysk by train (22 hours) + to Gelendzhik (4 hours), by car (20 hours)

The main disadvantage of Gelendzhik is that planes do not fly there temporarily, and trains do not go either. But there are alternative routes that take a little longer. In recent years, the resort has begun to develop at an incredible pace: expensive hotels, trendy restaurants and bars are opening. Our choice is “Mayak”, “Rybinsk” and of course the legendary cheburek “Cafe at Diana” (we thought it was our duty to tell about this too). In the same place, by the way, the second “Gorynych” was opened, and we have no doubt that the landing in it will be no worse than the capital’s restaurant.

The main thing that is worth going there is, of course, the sea. Because the city is located in the bay, it is much cleaner than the other cities of the Black Sea. But the most beautiful beach of Gelendzhik is the Sea Gardens. And save a tip from the editor: If you arrive at the beach at 6 am, you can see dolphins swimming all the way to the shore.

Crimea

How to get there: by train (1 day 4 hours), by car (21 hours)

It is worth going to the Crimea, at least to admire nature. Trust me, you won’t see this anywhere. Be sure to visit the Lavender field in the village of Turgenevka. We also advise you to go to Pink Lake, walk along the suspension bridge on Mount Ai-Petri and visit the most romantic place, the Goblet of Love lagoon.

If you are looking for inspiration, head to the famous Crimean vineyards – believe me, after such sights you will not want to return to the city. Well, if there is a “luxury” mood, be sure to visit the Winepark wine tourism center Mriya Resort & SPA on the territory of the hotel.

Kaliningrad

How to get there: by plane (2 hours 35 minutes)

Do not hesitate to go to Kaliningrad, especially if you do not like swimming. You cannot swim in the Baltic Sea for long, and a sudden north wind can blow you away from the beach at any time. But you can organize a mandatory walk all over the city, go to the dunes of the Curonian Spit and take a walk around Svetlogorsk. If you’re still cold, head over to Nordic SPA – the place is very atmospheric, despite being promoted.

By the way, even Kaliningrad is full of trendy cafes and restaurants, where we are ready to come there at least every weekend (if we close all deadlines). Our favorites are Ugli, Salt and Yeltsin bar.

derbent

How to get there: by plane to Makhachkala (5 hours) + by train (2 hours)

If you were inspired by our materials about Dagestan and finally decided to see all these beauties with your own eyes, buy a ticket now. The Caspian Sea has public, city-wide and wild beaches. And by the way, it’s all sandy, and you certainly won’t find it on the Black Sea coast.

In general, Derbent is one of the oldest cities in the world and the oldest in Russia, and its old part is fully protected by UNESCO. Add to this local miracle cakes, khinkal and various pastries – after a hearty lunch or dinner, you should definitely swim in the sea or take a walk in the nearest mountains.
