Quiet hunting season: where to try morel dishes?

Personally, we always look forward to having seasonal items on the menu of restaurants. And as big fans of mushrooms, we especially love the mortar dishes available here. And you can combine them with everything from meat to vegetables.

We tell you where you can try your first spring mushrooms – and hurry, morel season ends in June.


rocky2

Rocky2 is thoroughly prepared for morel season. Chef Alexey Volkov has created a special five-course menu. It included a warm potato and morel salad with spinach and arugula, linguine, veal cutlet with mashed potatoes, crawfish, and even a tortilla with mushrooms and stracciatella. The menu will be available until mid-June.

lesnoy

In Lesnoy, the first spring mushrooms are presented in a special menu in six positions at once. We recommend starting with the classics – cooked morel cream soup and then moving on to the main courses. Mushroom dishes also include filet mignon with spinach and cream sauce, pakcheri with fresh herbs. Well, for a hot meal, we have gherkin chicken and flounder. And all this is especially delicious with morel, suluguni and roti with sour cream and garlic sauce.

Pinch

Pinch at the Patriarchs has a new menu – and there are so many hot items that every guest will definitely find something to try. For example, we look at the homemade agnolotti pasta. It is rabbit inside and served with seasonal morel and parmesan.

Il Forno

Morel has been added to tartar, pappardelle pasta, pizza and even scallops at Heinrich Karpin’s Il Forno restaurants. Those who prefer mushrooms as a snack will especially love the shrimp and ricotta-stuffed morels.

bijou

At the French bar Bijou, morel is served with morel, rabbit and bean puree. And for a rich taste, they use a sauce from early spring mushrooms with the addition of bacon and shallots. In general, it is an ideal option for those who will complete their dinner with wine.

Seven

Morel was found in risotto at Italian restaurant Seven on Bolshaya Dmitrovka. Chef Manuele Antonio Croce garnished the dish with stracchino cheese and parsley and added a traditional demi-glace sauce made from veal bones and vegetables.

Desk. Tsum

At office. Tsum morel is especially popular. Here they are served as a side dish with asparagus, pakcheri and, to the editor’s delight, cabbage rolls. By the way, we are sure that it is especially pleasant to try the first mushrooms on the veranda, which is already open for guests.
