” Because board games are just for kids ? Well that’s not it, what are you saying here? Board games are games to be played “in society”, with other people, whatever. We’ve already introduced you to our favorites for kids, and now we tell you about the ones we loved, for the more adults among us (and a little bit for teenagers too). Small specificity this year: we decided to talk to you games based on famous movies or sagas. We were able to test them, play with them, lose (a lot), win (a little), but above all: we had a blast!
Oh and you know, you can buy used games with no problem! There are even forums or sites where you can trade, that’s great.
1 – Jurassic Park board game
If you like dinosaurs, you will be served! Welcome to Jurassic Park board game version. Here the goal is simple: not to get eaten by a big thing that should have remained a fossil. The operation is easy, but terribly addictive: one player controls three hungry dinosaurs, and the other players embody the key characters of the film, who must be able to reactivate the defense systems of the park, without being eaten by the long teeth. You must manage to leave the island without losing an arm, using strategy to avoid the dinosaurs hidden everywhere.

2 – The evil Marvel board game
Come on, let’s go over to the bad guys with Marvel Villainous! In this superb game, you have the joy and honor of playing a villain from the Marvel universe and you have to destroy the heroes using your great villain powers. For once, the bad guys have to win, and the missions and actions on offer to achieve victory make you want to cross over to the dark side of the Force with passion, while letting out a demonic laugh after each victory.

3 – The Disney Villainous board game
Go hop, let’s stay in the bad guy camp, but a disney this time. In this brilliant strategy game you can play as Captain Hook, Ursula, Prince Jean, Maleficent, the Queen of Hearts or even Jafar. The target. the goal? Stop cute and annoying heroes from winning the game. Ruin other people’s plans, show your bad side, use your special abilities and prevent the game from ending with a relou” and they lived happily and bla-bla-bla“. On the other hand, be careful: you risk getting into it quickly and no longer want to play where the good guys always get away with it.

4 – The board game Jaws
If you too were completely traumatized by Spielberg’s movie and struggled for years to swim in the sea, this is your chance to take revenge. In this board game Teeth of the sea, you can play as the shark – who secretly has to eat the swimmers – or the characters Brody, Hooper and Quint, who are trying to make sashimi with the big thing that has too many teeth. The game takes place in two stages: a first board on the island and a second on the Orca boat, for a highly suggestive final duel.

5 – The Harry Potter board game, fight against the forces of darkness
Do you know the famous werewolf game? But if you know, this is the game where you’re a werewolf or a villager, and no one has to think you like munching on humans after dark. In this Harry Potter game, the principle is the same, except you play as a Death Eater, or a witch/wizard, and you have to argue in front of your friends telling them that “but nah, I swear, I I’m not a Death Eater, I love to be nice, don’t kill me“. WHILE IT WAS WRONG FROM THE BEGINNING. In short, this game is a worthy successor to the werewolf we already love, but with the Harry Potter characters it adds a layer.

6 – The Unlock Star Wars board game
Do you know Unblock board games? It has been my passion for several years. These escape games (but which leave you alone in your living room rather than a poorly decorated room) force you to exercise your brain and solve puzzles, each crazier than the next. This year I want to present you the version of Star Wars which is at the top and which proposes to solve three investigations by playing different characters: rebels, smugglers or imperial agents. What’s great about this game, and about Unlock in general, is that we all win together, as a team, helping each other, capitalizing on each other’s flashes of genius. A real smart co-op game the way we like them!
