Jennifer Lopez’s social media blackout lifted as the artist, actress and producer announced a new music project called It’s me now.
The announcement will be made on the 20the anniversary of their album It’s me… wellon which she wrote and produced.
Heralding a new era of music for Lopez, It’s me now will detail the emotional, spiritual and psychological journey she has taken over the past two decades. It is considered an emotionally raw and honest project that features a series of songs about her life and experiences. In addition, the autobiographical stories based on the album will spawn other very personal projects that she will release in 2023.
It’s me now will shine a spotlight on her troubled childhood, failed relationships and the incredible emotional journey she embarked on.
“This album is a philosophy, a reflection, a zeitgeist moment. It’s about hope, faith and true love that never dies.”
Lopez’s last album was released eight years ago in 2014. in other words. She released singles and achieved her success, Marry mefilm score this year.
As of this year, she has released eight studio albums, one remix album, three compilation albums, one soundtrack, one extended play, 65 singles (including 14 as a featured artist), five charity singles, and 12 promotional singles. She has sold over 80 million records worldwide with 15 billion streams.
Among the new album’s 13 singles are tunes like “Dear Ben pt. II” and “Midnight Trip to Vegas,” a nod to her wedding ceremony to Oscar winner Ben Affleck in July. The original 2002 album included the song “Dear Ben,” a ballad about Affleck released while she was dating him.
