Another fan, with what appeared to be blue hair in a show of support for his country, lent while putting bottles and other rubbish into a plastic bag.
Supporters were left at the venue after the match in which their team beat Germany 2-1.
They were seen making the gesture of respect and goodwill in the empty stadium.

All fans grabbed countless bags to pick up the debris and face each line to make sure the stadium was clean.
Another photo showed security officers standing next to supporters as they cleaned up, many of whom appeared to be smiling.
Footage also showed supporters waving and smiling as they cleaned up.
Fans were praised for their actions online, with one person tweeting: “2022: Japan beat Germany for the first time in the opening group stage from 1-0 down.
“Also, the Japanese culture of cleaning and respecting people is really great. Long live Asian football.”

Elsewhere, another person wrote: “Japan has by far one of the best cultures I’ve ever seen and people really carry that with them wherever they go.
“It’s a big deal that they clean the stadiums before they leave. I’ve never seen anyone as a collection do that. It’s always dirty after games in America.”
Others joked that Japan had “cleaned up” after beating Germany.

It comes days after fans picked up litter at a game they weren’t even involved in.
