Figure of the day: Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress sells for 120 million rubles

Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress is up for auction. We are talking about a dark brown suit with a white fur collar, in which the star married baseball player Joe DiMaggio in January 1954. According to TMZ, the star purchased the dress from Macy’s in Manhattan, New York, and then gave it to the mother-in-law of her personal photographer, Milton Green. The initial cost of the outfit is $ 1.5 million (90 million rubles). However, the organizers of the auction plan to receive a large sum of at least $ 2 million (about 120 million rubles) for it.

Recall that Marilee Monroe’s dress, which she wore to President John F. Kennedy’s birthday party, was recently sold at an auction. The outfit went for $4.8 million. The tender held the auction house Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles.
