Some things come back! The legendary 2002 drama Gangs of New York will be made into a series produced by Miramax Television. Deadline reports.

Director Martin Scorsese, who directed the feature-length adaptation of Herbert Asbury’s book, will executive produce the first two episodes. It is also stated that the series will focus on new characters not in the original film, with the participation of Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis and Cameron Diaz. The premiere date has not yet been announced.

By the way, we wrote earlier that a British publisher published a scandalous article about Martin Scorsese. One of the reactors criticized the director’s films. He was supported by his colleague Guillermo del Toro.
